Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for multiple operation modes for downlink (DL) or uplink (UL) transmission in duplex operation, wherein the method comprises: configuring, by a fifth generation (5G) base station (gNB), one or more UL and/or DL resources within a serving cell or bandwidth part (BWP) bandwidth for different symbols; receiving, by a user equipment (UE), an indication of the UL and DL resource configuration; and receiving or transmitting, by a UE, the DL or UL channels/signals, according to the configuration of the DL or UL channels/signals and/or the DCI scheduling the DL or UL channels/signals. Abstract: A generation node B (gNB) for a fifth-generation (5G) new radio (NR) or a sixth-generation (6G) network is configured for slot-less operation at frequencies above a 52.6 GHz carrier frequency. The gNB may generate signalling to configure a user equipment (UE) with a gap between demodulation reference signal (DMRS) symbols for an associated physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). The gNB may also encode the DMRS symbols for transmission in accordance with the gap and may encode the associated PDSCH for transmission during the gap between the DMRS symbol transmissions at symbol times following the DMRS symbols.

Abstract: An apparatus and system of supporting simultaneous physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission are described. A user equipment (UE) that supports service types with different priority levels is configured by a 5th generation NodeB (gNB) to multiplex transmissions with different priorities on different serving cells in different bands. The UE multiplexes and prioritizes high priority (HP) and low priority (LP) uplink transmissions with and without simultaneous PUCCH and PUSCH transmissions based on repetition and scheduling request (SR).

The UE may encode an enhanced PUCCH format for transmission in accordance with one of the enhanced PUCCH format 0, the enhanced PUCCH format 1 and the enhanced PUCCH format 4. The enhanced PUCCH format may be transmitted to occupy the number of RBs that are configured.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) configured for operating in a fifth-generation (5G) new radio (NR) network may monitor search space sets for a number of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates within a number of non-overlapped control-channel elements (CCEs) for a primary cell (PCell). The number of PDCCH candidates and the number of non-overlapped CCEs may include PDCCH candidates and non-overlapped CCEs on a scheduling secondary cell (SCell). The scheduling SCell may be an SCell that schedules a transmission on the PCell. The UE may decode one or more of the PDCCH candidates on the scheduling SCell for a downlink control information (DCI) format which may schedule a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission and/or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission of the PCell.

Abstract: A generation Node B (gNB) configured for operating in a fifth generation (5G) system encodes a downlink control information (DCI) for transmission to a user equipment (UE). For slot-less operation the DCI may indicate a set of values for a data channel scheduling gap and hybrid automatic repeat request—acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) timing. The set of values may be defined for a symbol group including one or more symbols. The gNB may encode the data channel for transmission based on the one or more values. The data channel may be transmitted on the symbol group with slot-less operation and using a subframe or frame for reference timing.
