The present invention discloses a system and method for providing sealable access to a viscus region or hollow organ and performing surgical procedures therein. The present invention is particularly useful in providing access to a patients heart without arresting the heart. The access system comprises a tissue stabilizer to provide a stable work area in a dynamic environment. A puncture device is inserted into the tissue stabilizer, which forms a puncture hole within the heart tissue. Thereafter, a sealing device, for example a sealing balloon, is inserted through the puncture hole and engages the interior tissue. A sealing cannula may then be advanced into and sealably engages the tissue.

A method for alleviating a problem in color graphics printing that incompatible inks, such as true black and color inks, tend to bleed across color field boundaries includes depletion of yellow in the image data so that more blue content is present in the image data. For each pixel, the amount of correction is inversely related to the color saturation and a corresponding correction factor related to the amount of correction is selected to be less than or equal to a preselected maximum correction factor. The presence of blue ink dots within a substantially black field, resulting from the depletion of yellow, reduces bleed along the field edges.

In color graphics printing, incompatible inks, such as true black and color inks, tend to bleed across color field boundaries. Moreover, in four-color systems, there is a discontinuity in the physical color gamut, as distinguished from the logical color gamut, associated with the redundant color. A method is disclosed for alleviating both problems by adjusting image data prior to dithering. The method slightly shifts the logical color indicated in the image data so as to avoid the discontinuity that arises with neutral colors. Preferably, in a four-color printing system, yellow is depleted in the image data, so that after dithering, more dots of blue ink are printed in a given area than would be printed otherwise. For each pixel, the amount of correction is inversely related to the color saturation. The presence of blue ink dots within the substantially black field reduces bleed along the field edges.

A linear surgical stapling instrument includes a magazine for holding a plurality of undeformed surgical staples, and an upper jaw carrying the magazine and having opposed distal and proximal ends. An anvil is formed with staple-deforming pockets, and a lower jaw carries the anvil and has opposing distal and proximal ends respectively configured to mate with the distal and proximal ends of the upper jaw thereby to place the magazine and the anvil in confronting relation. A staple driver is carried in the upper jaw for driving staples held therein toward the anvil. Further, the upper and lower jaws are configured such that, when their respective distal and proximal ends are mated, a gap exists between the jaws in an intermediate region between their respective distal and proximal ends. Finally, a pivotably mounted clamp bar joins the upper and lower jaws and when actuated compresses them together in the intermediate region thereby to narrow the gap and to increase the clamping pressure between the magazine and the anvil. The instrument also includes a blocking system that prevents the jaws from being remated, once having been mated and having had staples in the magazine driven toward the anvil. Still further, the instrument includes a coupling device for coupling the jaws and clamp bar together when the staple driver is actuated.

The first voltage plane receives a system input voltage from the edge connector, and the second voltage plane is connected to the first voltage plane to receive a second voltage that is either higher or lower than the system input voltage. One of the first and second voltage planes is connected to the memory component to supply the core supply voltage thereto, and the other voltage plane supplies the input/output supply voltage to the memory component.
