摘要： Coated phosphorescent pigments are provided which may be utilized in toner compositions. In embodiments, the phosphorescent pigment may be coated by a powder coating process. The large pigment particles may be dry blended with dried resin latex particles, thereby coating the pigment surface, followed by heating and shearing in a rotary kiln or extruder to melt the toner resin and fuse it to the pigment surface. The resulting coated particles may be utilized with other toners, in embodiments color toners, to provide phosphorescent images.

摘要： Toner particles are provided which may, in embodiments, include an additive package possessing both a silica that has been treated with polydimethyl siloxane and a titanium dioxide that has been subjected to a fluorine treatment. The silica that has been treated with polydimethyl siloxane has low levels of free polydimethyl siloxane. The combined additives provide toners with excellent charging characteristics and good blocking performance.

摘要： A process for the preparation of conductive polymers which comprises (a) mixing at least one monomer with at least one conductive component, solvent, at least one polymerization initiator, and an optional chain transfer component; (b) effecting solution polymerization by heating; (c) removing said solvent by azeotropic distillation in an aqueous phase to generate a mixture of polymer and conductive component; (d) drying and grinding the resulting mixture; thereafter dissolving the product resulting in at least one monomer, at least one initiator, and at least one crosslinking component, and an optional chain transfer agent to form an organic phase; (e) mixing said organic phase with a second aqueous phase comprised of water, stabilizer, and an alkali halide; (f) polymerizing the resulting suspension by heating; and (g) subsequently optionally washing and drying the polymeric product, and which product is comprised of polymer and conductive component dispersed therein.

摘要： A low melt, high gloss toner resin with low minimum fix temperature, wide fusing latitude and wide gloss latitude contains a linear portion and 1 to 10 percent by weight of a crosslinked portion containing high density, crosslinked microgel particles, but substantially free of low density, crosslinked polymer. The resin is particularly suitable for high gloss applications, such as process color and color transparencies, and for high speed fusing, shows excellent offset resistance, wide fusing latitude, wide gloss latitude and superior vinyl offset properties. The resin may be formed by reactive melt mixing.
