A packing for sealing is fixed to the first surface of the convex part so as to come in contact with the second flat surface.

A combustion variation is detected, and if the detected combustion variation value is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the value of flag is set to be 1, and the exhaust gas recirculation amount and the ignition timing are reset to previous values. If the detected combustion variation value is less than the predetermined value, the value of the flag is set to be zero, and a current combustion variation manipulation correcting amount CVAR(i) is updated. If the value of flag is 1, the process is immediately terminated.

    摘要: A starting control apparatus for an internal combustion engine capable of ensuring proper starting performance with a fuel injection quantity of a lean air-fuel ratio while reducing HC discharge quantity in an engine start phase with high reliability. During a period from the start of cranking to occurrence of complete explosion in the engine starting phase, the fuel injection quantity charged to individual cylinders on a cylinder-by-cylinder basis and the ignition timing for igniting the fuel are properly set for each of the individual combustion strokes taking place sequentially among plural cylinders. An optimal combination of the fuel injection quantity and the ignition timing is realized for thereby producing required torque just enough in the individual combustion strokes.

    摘要: A fine carbon fiber having an outer diameter of about 1 to about 80 nm and an aspect ratio of 10 to 30,000, comprising a hollow center portion and a multi-layer sheath structure of a plurality of carbon layers, the layers forming annual rings, wherein the sheath-forming carbon layers form an incomplete sheath, i.e., the carbon layers are partially broken or disrupted in a longitudinal direction, and the outer diameter of the carbon fiber and/or the diameter of the hollow center portion are not uniform in a longitudinal direction. The carbon fiber is obtained by instantaneously reacting a carrier gas at a high temperature and an organic compound gas kept at a temperature below the decomposition temperature of the transition metal compound and has a conductivity equivalent to that of a conventional vapor phase method and is useful as a filler material in resins, rubbers, paints and the like.
