Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for updating a listen interval in a wireless communication system. To this end, a method for updating a listen interval by a station (STA) of a wireless communication system may comprise, if an operation mode of the station is changed, a request frame including information indicating that the operation mode of the station is changed, to an access point (AP); and receiving a response frame in response to the request frame from the AP. If a value of a listen interval of the station is changed as the operation mode of the station is changed, the request frame further include a value of a new listen interval of the station.
Abstract:
A method for receiving operating class information by a station (STA) from an access point (AP). A frame including a country element is received by the STA. The country element includes one or more operating/subband sequences having an operating triplet. The operating triplet includes an operating extension identifier field, an operating class field and a coverage class field. If a predetermined condition is met, the STA identifies that information on the country element is for two frequency segments having an equal width. The predetermined condition is that the received frame comprises two consecutive operating/subband sequences having first and second operating triplets. The first operating triplet indicates a specific behavior mode and the second operating triplet indicates a behavior mode other than the specific behavior mode. If the predetermined condition is not met, the STA identifies that the information on the country element is for one frequency segment.
Abstract:
A channel access method in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for supporting the same are disclosed. Particularly, the method comprises the steps of: transmitting a beacon frame containing a traffic indication map (TIM); and receiving a power pave (PS)-poll frame within a PS-Poll section set in a station (STA), to which downlink data is designated by the TIM, from the STA, wherein the PS-Poll section can be set differently for each STA within the entire PS-Poll section set in all STAs, to which downlink data is designated by the TIM.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically, disclosed are a method and an apparatus for accessing a channel in a WLAN system. The method for accessing a channel from a station (STA) in a wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving from an access point (AP) a first frame including a traffic indication map (TIM) and a restricted access window (RAW) parameter set component; determining a RAW in which channel access of the STA is permitted, on the basis of the RAW parameter set (RPS) component; and transmitting a second frame to the AP from within the RAW that is determined, wherein the RPS component includes at least one RAW allocation field, and each of the at least one RAW allocation fields can include a RAW group field, a RAW starting point field, and a RAW duration field.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically, disclosed are a method and an apparatus for accessing a channel in a WLAN system. A method for synchronizing channels from a station (STA) in the wireless communication system, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving from an access point (AP) setting information with respect to an least one slot allowing channel access by the STA; receiving a synchronization frame from the AP from a slot boundary of the at least one slot; and synchronizing the channels on the basis of the synchronization frame, wherein the synchronization frame may be a null data packet (NDP) frame.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, to a method and apparatus for controlling a channel access in a wireless LAN system. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the objective of the present invention is to provide a method for controlling a channel access in a station (STA) of the wireless communication system comprising the steps of: receiving a frame which includes a response frame indication field in a physical layer convergence protocol (PLCP) header of the frame; and deferring the channel access of the STA during a predetermined period of time which is determined on the basis of the response frame indication field.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for transmitting a signal of an access point (AP), comprising the steps of receiving a first frame from a first STA; and transmitting a second frame including a response to the first frame to the first STA, wherein the second frame induces the transmission of a third frame for the first STA to make the second STA set a network allocation vector (NAV), and the second STA is an STA unable to sense the AP.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for maintaining association in a WLAN system are disclosed. The method for performing association by a station (STA) in a wireless LAN (WLAN) system includes: transmitting an association request frame from the station (STA) to an access point (AP); and receiving an association response frame from the access point (AP) in response to the association request frame. If the association request is accepted by the access point (AP), the association response frame includes information regarding an association comeback time.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a frame including a partial association ID (PAID) in a wireless LAN (WLAN) system are disclosed. A method for transmitting a frame from a station (STA) to an access point (AP) in a wireless communication system includes: calculating a partial association ID (Partial AID) on the basis of a basic service set ID (BSSID) of the AP; and transmitting the frame including a partial AID field set to a specific value corresponding to the calculation result of the partial AID to the AP. The partial AID is calculated by applying a modulo operation to a specific value obtained by converting values ranging from a 40th bit position to a 48th bit position from among 48 bit positions of the BSSID of the AP into a decimal number.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and apparatus for updating system information in a wireless LAN system. A method for a station (STA) to update system information in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: if the value of a change sequence field received by the STA from an access point (AP) is different from the value of the change sequence field stored in the STA, transmitting, to the AP, a probe request frame including the change sequence field set to the value of the change sequence field stored in the STA; and a step of receiving, from the AP, a probe response frame responding to the probe request frame including the change sequence field.
