摘要: A metal test piece is disposed in a cell filled with a test solution. The metal test piece is electrically charged instantaneously through a counter electrode so as to have a few millivolts polarization potential .eta..sub.t. The charge consumed by the corrosion reaction of the test piece is measured by a potential recorder in the form of a variation of the polarization potential .eta..sub.t with respect to time t. The measured (.eta..sub.t -t) relation is analyzed to obtain a polarization resistance R.sub.P of the metal test piece. After the potential of the metal test piece returns to its natural potential Ecorr, the test piece is charged again until its polarization potential .eta..sub.t rises to 50 millivolts or more, and the (.eta..sub.t -t) relation is measured in the same way as mentioned above. Based on this relation, the Tafel slope .beta..sub.a of the anodic reaction is obtained. After the potential of the metal test piece has returned to its natural potential Ecorr, the test piece is so charged for the third time as to have its polarization potential .eta..sub.t lowered to -50 millivolts or less, and the (.eta..sub.t -t) relation is measured. This relation is analyzed to obtain the Tafel slope .beta..sub.c of the cathodic reaction. Based on the polarization resistance R.sub.P, Tafel slopes .beta..sub.a and .beta..sub.c, the corrosion current density I.sub.corr is obtained, from which the corrosion rate V is calculated.

摘要: A release locking device for use in photographic cameras of the type in which an exposure meter and electromagnetic actuating and releasing means for automatic exposure control are rendered operative in separate manner by their respective control or release switches as may be operatively associated with a display button and a shutter release button respectively. This device comprises a master switch connected between an electrical power source and a common input lead of these release switches to be closed and opened in response to an actuation and a release, respectively, of a manually operable member, thereby all of the release switches are rendered effective and ineffective at a time. In a preferred embodiment, this device is operatively associated with a shutter cocking mechanism to be actuable in automatic response to a protracting movement of the shutter cocking lever into an effective range of shutter cocking operation.

摘要: A plasma shutter forming apparatus for forming a plasma shutter used in a system configured to generate and accelerate radiations by irradiating a target with a laser pulse and generating a high-density plasma for blocking the laser pulse which is returned as a feedback light to upstream of the system without being absorbed by the high-density plasma, including a plasma shutter generating target, and a plasma shutter triggering laser irradiator, wherein the laser pulse from the plasma shutter triggering laser irradiator is directed to the plasma shutter generating target to generate the high-density plasma and form the plasma shutter, thereby blocking the laser pulse which is returned as the feedback light. Optics are prevented from becoming damaged by feedback light reflecting when generating the high-density plasma in a laser-driven radiation generating system and returning back to the upstream of the laser system.

摘要: A plane coil which reduces an increase of an effective resistance in a high-frequency area and is made thinner is provided. The plane coil is equipped with plural conductive wires which are parallel to each other, wherein the conductive wires are arranged in a plane and spirally wound, and coil ends of the respective conductive wires are electrically connected to each other at coil lead-out portions and thus are connected in parallel. The conductive wires are arranged in plane, so that a coil thickness does not increase, and the coil is made thinner. Moreover, the plural conductive wires are connected in parallel, an increase of an effective resistance due to an influence of a skin effect in a high-frequency area is reduced.
