Abstract:
A user equipment (UE) receives a radio signal which includes a time-frequency grid of radio resource elements. A UE detector measures a signal quality parameter associated with a subset of the radio resource elements in the time-frequency grid. The subset of the radio resource elements is less than a total number of the radio resource elements in the time-frequency grid and corresponds to an individual radio channel. Radio circuitry in the UE reports to a network node the signal quality parameter measured for the subset of the radio resource elements in the time-frequency grid to enable an operation related, for example, to the individual radio channel.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a user equipment for a telecommunications system, the telecommunications system comprising at least a first radio basestation. The user equipment comprises means for controlling a transmission power of the user equipment, such that said transmission power has a first value for a first set of one or more signals sent over a physical channel between the user equipment and the first radio basestation. The first value and said second value are different. In alternative embodiments, the second set of signals are transmitted taking into account information from the serving cell and a neighboring cell, while the first set of signals are transmitted taking into account information from the serving cell only.
Abstract:
Method and arrangement (600) in a first network node (120-1), serving a first cell (130-1), for forming a coordination group for coordinating multipoint wireless communication. The method comprising determining (502) interference within the first cell (130-1). Also, the method comprises identifying (503) a second network node (120-2), which is either transmitting radio signals causing the interference, serving a user equipment (110-1), which transmits radio signals causing the interference, or being the intended recipient of radio signals causing the interference. Additionally, the method comprises transmitting (504) a token to the identified second network node (120-2), inviting it to coordinate the wireless communication. Furthermore, in addition, if acceptance is received, the method comprises forming (505) a coordination group together with the second network node (120-2), and coordinate the wireless communication.Further, a method and arrangement (800) in a second network node (120-2) is presented.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a mechanism for controlling a repeater that is less costly and more flexible. The objective is achieved by a method in a control unit (150) for controlling a repeater (100) being comprised in a radio access network (110). The control unit sends a repeater control message to the repeater (100). The repeater control message is tunneled as ordinary data communication via an available radio communication channel (160) within the radio access network (110). The repeater control message is configured to control the repeater (100).
Abstract:
A technique for assigning transceiver devices to transmission resources for inter-cell interference coordination in a heterogeneous cellular communication network is described. The network comprises a first cell layer having a first cell associated with a first transmission resource and a second cell layer having a second cell associated with a second transmission resource disjunctive from the first transmission resource. In a method implementation, the technique comprises performing a first selection procedure to select a first set of transceiver devices served in the first cell based on the potential of causing interference to transceiver devices served in the second cell, performing a second selection procedure to select a second set of transceiver devices served in the second cell based on the potential of being sensitive to interference from transceiver devices served in the first cell, and assigning the first set of transceiver devices to the first transmission resource and the second set of transceiver devices to the second transmission resource.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a wireless station for initiating radio resource measurements. A wireless station identifies a need for radio resource measurements by a second wireless station despite there is no association between the wireless station and the second wireless station allowing direct radio communication between said stations. The wireless station initiates a request for radio resource measurements by the second wireless station.
Abstract:
Methods and arrangements in network nodes in a cellular communication system The methods and arrangements relate to the delegation of serving functions, associated with a mobile terminal, from one node to another The method and arrangement in a delegating entity relate to obtaining (1002) information on the mobile terminal and at least one access point, and analyzing said information The method and arrangement further relates to determining (1006), based on the analysis and predefined criteria, whether a second access point is more suitable than a first access point for executing one or more serving functions related to the mobile terminal When a second access point is found to be more suitable for executing one or more of the serving functions, the delegating node may arrange (1008) such that the one or more serving functions are delegated from the first access point to the second access point
Abstract:
A method in a base station for calculating a power relating to a first radio access is provided. The power is to be shared with a second radio access within the base station. The base station communicates with a number of user equipments using the first radio access. When the base station has estimated a statistic power distribution of transmit power to said user equipments during a time interval, it calculates a margin of power not to be shared with the second radio access, based on the estimated statistic power distribution. The base station further calculates a power to be shared with the second radio access, based on said margin of power.
Abstract:
Methods and arrangements in a data transmitting node, a data receiving node and an intermediate node, where one of the data transmitting node and the data receiving node is a mobile terminal and the other nodes are access points. The methods and arrangements involve that ACK and NACK feedback are transmitted on different respective paths, according to different criteria, when the mobile terminal is simultaneously associated with more than one access point.
