摘要： Described is a method of constructing multi-user packets in a communication network utilizing packet-switching, wherein a plurality of user request service from the communication network. According to this method, priorities are allocated to each of the plurality of user. Of the plurality of user, those user are selected who indicate that multi-user packets are supportable. A group of user out of the selected user is formed, where group is defined in that all user who are member of the group allow at least one common transmission format. Finally, a multi-user packet is constructed utilizing one common transmission format.

摘要： A system and method for transmitting and error handling control feedback information is provided. A method for error handling in a transmission of control feedback information over a communications link by a first station includes determining a first feedback information at the first station, transmitting the first feedback information at a first instance to a second station, and receiving a scheduling message from the second station. The scheduling message includes a second feedback information, and the second feedback information is based on the first feedback information. The method also includes determining if the first feedback information at the first instance was received correctly by the second station based on the scheduling message, and in response to determining that the first feedback information at the first instance was not received correctly by the second station, transmitting the first feedback information at a second instance to the second station.

摘要： In the system acquisition process system information is non-coherently detected using correlation of reconstructed and received preamble signals, such as the primary broadcast control channel (PBCCH) and the acquisition pilots (TDM1, TDM2, and TDM3). The phase correlation signals between the correlated signals of PBCCH and TDM2 or TDM3 and between the correlated signals of TDM2 and TDM3 are combined to decode other sector interference (OSI) information and the like. Acquisition is also made more efficient by taking advantage of predictable information based on system synchronicity. The sync/async bit is included in at least one of the acquisition pilots. The mobile then uses knowledge of system synchronicity to more efficiently detect the additional information in the superframe preamble.

摘要： Sharing radio resources between multiple types of users is disclosed that form user groups including first type users and second type users. A plurality of resource blocks is assigned to the user group after which, a group setup message is transmitted to each user in the user group. This group setup message includes group parameters and identification of the resource blocks. A group grant message is also issued to each user in the user group, which provides group information allowing the resource blocks to be shared between the first and second user types.
