In the capillary electrophoresis device for separating and analyzing a sample such as a DNA and a protein by electrophoresis, the holder includes: a septum having a capillary hole through which a capillary penetrates; a container for storing a solution; and a container-accommodation unit for accommodating the container. A hole formed in the septum engages with an engagement portion formed on the container, and thereby the septum is held to cover the container.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a capillary electrophoresis apparatus in which simultaneity can be ensured between sensitivity and data acquisition to decrease a pull-up signal while spectral data acquisition is eliminated in each capillary exchange. The invention relates to a capillary electrophoresis apparatus characterized in that a multi-bandpass filter is provided in an optical detection system. In one aspect of the invention, a signal detection area of a two-dimensional detector is divided into plural regions corresponding to wavelength transmission regions of the multi-bandpass filter. An integrated value of the fluorescence spectrum signal is determined in the region including a fluorescence spectrum peak of an analysis sample in the plural regions. The analysis is performed with the integrated value.

The evaporation-preventing membrane has a projection provided at the periphery of the capillary hole, the projection of the evaporation-preventing membrane is engaged with the bore on the cover when the evaporation-preventing membrane is positioned on the cover, and the evaporation-preventing membrane is supported by the cover.

    摘要: To reduce the elongation of the migration time for the first electrophoresis cycle in successive electrophoresis cycles and improve the reliability of electrophoresis analysis. The present invention relates to making the condition of a migration medium at the start of the first electrophoresis analysis in successive electrophoresis analyses after the temperature in a thermostatic oven reaches a desired preset temperature substantially the same as the conditions after the successive electrophoresis analyses. Preferably, a voltage is applied to a separation medium filling a capillary during preheating of the thermostatic oven. Preferably, the temperature in the thermostatic oven during preheating is set higher than the temperature in the thermostatic oven during electrophoresis analysis. Preferably, a buffer solution is heated during preheating of the thermostatic oven. Preferably, the capillary is filled with a preheated separation medium during preheating of the thermostatic oven. According to the present invention, the reliability of the first electrophoresis analysis in successive electrophoresis analyses is improved.

    摘要: An electrophoresis analysis method and apparatus capable of maintaining high reliability upon a repeated use of the same gel. A heat transfer medium selected from the group consisting of solids, liquids and gels is filled in substantially all of the gaps between the electrode and each capillary. A hollow electrode into which a capillary is inserted has a plurality of retaining shapes such that the capillary can be fixed at the center of the electrode. The heat from the capillary can be efficiently dissipated via the electrode, and also the temperature increase in the capillary can be prevented. Further, temperature increases due to the heating of the capillaries during operation can be controlled and thereby thermal deterioration of the gel can be prevented.

On the basis of the position deviation of the capillary, a data acquisition area is set in the two-dimensional detector, or a reference fluorescent light spectrum determined from the capillary at the standard position is corrected.
