摘要: A liquid crystal display device 1 has liquid crystal 6 sealed between a pixel substrate 4, having a pixel electrode 10 composed of a reflective electrode 42 that reflects light and a transparent electrode 41 that transmits light, and a opposed substrate 5 having a opposed electrode 23 located opposite the pixel electrode 10. The liquid crystal display device 1 displays an image while being illuminated by light reflected from the reflective electrode 42 or with light transmitted through the transparent electrode 41. The pixel substrate 4 has a coloring layer 43, which is formed on top of the reflective electrode 42 to add a color to light and has an opening 43a above the reflective electrode 42, and a multiple-gap portion 44, which is formed continuously on top of the coloring layer 43 and in the opening 43a and narrows the thickness of the liquid crystal 6 above the reflective electrode 42. The transparent electrode 41 is laid on the multiple-gap portion 44 and the coloring layer 43. The transparent electrode 41 and the reflective electrode 42 conduct to each other through a contact hole 44a formed in the multiple-gap portion 44, inside the rim of the opening 43a.

摘要: There are provided a sheet paper identification device and method capable of preventing use of the device in an abnormal state by preventing erroneous identification caused by dust attached to an interior of a pickup section, detecting the abnormal state in the pickup section due to the dust, and notifying it outside. When a sheet paper is inserted from a sheet paper insert section (3), the sheet paper is fed by a sheet paper feed section (4). An image pickup section (7) images the interior of the image pickup section (7) before the sheet paper is fed to the image pickup section (7) so as to acquire image data without any sheet paper so as to acquire image data having the sheet paper. A dust detection section (8) calculates the position and the area of the image indicating dust of the image data having no sheet paper. When the image data having the sheet paper has an image of the same area at the same position as the image indicating the dust, the image is identified as an image indicating the dust attached to the interior of the image pickup section (7) in the image data including the sheet paper. If the dust identified is other than a predetermined one, an abnormal state of the image pickup section (7) is notified to a control section (2).

摘要: A distributed processing unit which permits easy modification of set data that has been written in a memory (19) of a coin mechanism (1) which constitutes a processor without the use of special terminals. When set data settings stored in the memory (19) of the coin mechanism (1) are to be modified, the coin mechanism (1) is disconnected from a signal line (8) from an automatic vending machine controller (2) at a connector (9), and a computer (50) is connected to the connector (9). In this state, the program routine of a CPU (11) in the coin mechanism (1) is modified by special instructions transmitted from the computer (50), thus permitting the contents of the memory (19) of the coin mechanism (1) to be read out by the computer (50) and the set data in the memory (19) to be rewritten by operation of the CPU (11).

摘要: A coin mech controller (70), when receiving a coin payment set command from a main controller (10), judges the presence or absence of a coin within an acceptor (100). In the absence of a coin within the acceptor (100), the coin mech controller (70) controls to immediately pay out coins corresponding to a coin payment amount calculated by the main controller (10). In the presence of a coin within the acceptor (100), the coin mech controller (70) controls to pay out coins corresponding to the coin payment amount calculated by the main controller (10) after the coin within the acceptor (100) has passed through. The coin mech controller (70) determines the numbers of coins having different coin sorts and corresponding to the payment amount calculated by the main controller (10), sets a payment pattern of a coin sort priority corresponding to maximum one of the determined numbers of coins in different sorts, and controls a coin dispenser (220) of a coin mech body (200) according to the set payment pattern to pay out coins from coin tubes (210-1 to 210-4).

摘要: A coin payout device that has been improved such that a coin jam will be automatically dislodged in the event that a coin jam occurs, and there will be no problem of overpayment. When coin payout is performed by the forward rotation of a coin payout motor (40), a coin payout controller (80) detects the occurrence of a coin jam from the operational circumstances of a carrier switch (60) up to the time when a first timer (81) runs out, and determines whether the reverse rotation of the coin payout motor (40) would cause a problem based on the current state of the carrier switch (60), so that the coin payout motor (40) is reversed and the coin jam dislodged only when no problem will be caused.

摘要: The type of denomination of a coin inserted through a coin slot is discriminated by a coin discriminating section while the coin is being conveyed substantially horizontally by a mechanism for horizontally conveying coins, and the discriminated coin is distributed by coin distributing levers for selectively executing a first distributing operation for distributing coins to a relevant coin accumulating section and a second distributing operation for introducing the coins to an ensuing coin distributing section. As for the coin distributing levers, all the coin distributing levers leading to the coin distributing section corresponding to the discriminated type of denomination are set in a state in which the first distributing operation is prohibited, and subsequently the coin distributing section corresponding to the discriminated type of denomination is caused to effect the first distributing operation, and as the coin to be distributed passes through the coin distributing levers, the state in which the first distributing operation of the coin distributing sections leading to the coin distributing section corresponding to the discriminated type of denomination is prohibited is sequentially canceled.
