    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for measurement reference signals and synchronization signals. A user equipment (UE) includes a transceiver and a processor operably connected to the transceiver. The transceiver is configured to receive a primary synchronization signal (PSS), a secondary synchronization signal (SSS), and a primary broadcast channel (PBCH). The processor is configured to decode cell identification information from at least the PSS and the SSS and to decode a master information block (MIB) from the PBCH. The PSS, the SSS, and the PBCH are time-division multiplexed. A same set of sequences are used for the PSS and the SSS for different carrier frequencies and different sub-carrier spacing values.

    Abstract: A base station and a method thereof for acquiring channel status information in a mobile communication system operating in a multiuser multiple-input multiple-output transmission mode are provided.     Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting/receiving feedback in a mobile communication system are provided. A method of configuring and receiving feedback information of an evolved Node B (eNB) includes transmitting configuration information on a plurality of reference signals including a first reference signal and a second reference signal to a User Equipment (UE); transmitting feedback configuration information including first feedback configuration information on the first reference signal and second feedback configuration information configured such that feedback information on the second reference signal is generated with reference to the first feedback configuration information to the UE; transmitting the reference signal to the UE according to the configuration information on the reference signal; and receiving feedback information including first feedback information according to the first feedback configuration information and second feedback information according to the second feedback configuration information from the UE.

    Abstract: A method for transmitting and receiving a signal in a terminal of a mobile communication system, according to one embodiment of the present specification, comprises the steps of: receiving information of another terminal from the other terminal; transmitting, to a base station, a message requesting allocation of an identifier for the other terminal on the basis of the received information of the other terminal; and receiving, from the base station, the message including the identifier allocated for the other terminal. The provided present invention, according to one embodiment of the present specification, allows only the arbitrary receiver to access the base station and receive data therefrom when a plurality of densely located receivers are neighboring each other. At this point, the other receivers can selectively receive a data stream transmitted to each terminal from data channels received by the arbitrary receiver that accesses the base station. To this end, only the arbitrary terminal accessing at least the base station is enabled to allow feedback of the channel.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The method for transmitting/receiving signals in a mobile communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: receiving control information; obtaining information related to the orthogonal cover code (OCC) length, based on the received control information; and receiving a reference signal, based on the information related to the OCC length. In a mobile communication system according to embodiments of the present invention, the base station transmits information related to a reference signal to a terminal, and the terminal receives the reference signal based on the received information, thereby improving the performance of channel estimation.
