摘要： A clothes dryer and a method of controlling the clothes dryer. The method detects conditions of clothes using a sensor, and performs at least one of: a complex drying function to perform a drying operation, a deodorizing operation, and a wrinkle removing operation; a wrinkle removing function to perform the wrinkle removing operation and the drying operation; and a drying function to perform the drying operation, according to the detected conditions of the clothes. Accordingly, the clothes dryer is capable of not only drying the clothes, but also deodorizing the clothes and removing wrinkles. Additionally, the clothes dryer is capable of detecting conditions of clothes accommodated in a chamber, and drying and deodorizing the clothes as occasion demands, thus maintaining the clothes for a long period.

The lossless color image encoding apparatus includes a motion prediction image generator estimating a motion between a previous image and a current image and outputting a corresponding prediction image, a residue generator generating a temporal residue corresponding to a difference between a prediction image generated by the motion prediction image generator and the corresponding block of the current image with respect to different components of the color image, a prediction residue generator generating prediction residues by defining a linear-transformed value of one residue among the different components of the color image output from the residue generator as a predictor and using differences between each of the residues of the other components and the predictor, and an entropy encoder receiving the residue forming the predictor from the residue generator and the prediction residues from the prediction residue generator and generating a bitstream. Encoding methods, decoding apparatuses, and decoding methods can be implemented similarly.

摘要： A video encoding/decoding apparatus and method for color images include a first motion prediction unit that generates a first prediction residue image of an input image on a basis of a first motion prediction result of the input image. An image information detection unit sets a predetermined color component of an R-G-B image to a reference color component and determines whether the input image is a Y-Cb-Cr image or an R-G-B image and whether a color component is the reference color component. A second motion prediction unit performs motion prediction for the first prediction residue image and generates a second prediction residue image if the input image is the R-G-B image and the color component of the input image is not the reference color component.

摘要： The present invention provides an opto-electronic device with an integrated light deflector comprises: a passive optical waveguide having a lower cladding layer, a core, and an upper cladding layer to guide and transmit optical signals; and a light deflector formed by patterning the upper cladding layer in a predetermined shape at an upper portion of the passive optical waveguide, wherein a refractive index of the core under the predetermined shape is modified to deflect a light beam by applying a current or an electrical field to the light deflector. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide an opto-electronic device with an integrated light deflector capable of deflecting the light propagation direction without necessity of a complicated external driving circuitry.
