    摘要: A printing system includes printing apparatuses connected to a network. A control apparatus of the printing system may send a print job to each printing apparatus and instruct each printing apparatus to execute the print job. When a first printing apparatus is instructed to execute the print job, the control apparatus makes a substitute printing reservation. The substitute printing reservation is for a second printing apparatus to execute the print job instead of the first printing apparatus. The second printing apparatus is set to a waiting state in which the second printing apparatus waits to execute the print job instead of the first printing apparatus.

Recesses 50a1, 50a2 are formed in the second outer circumferential surface portions 50da, 50ab and in a position to face end walls 51a2, 51a5 of the magnet insert holes 51a1, 51a4 which are adjacent to the outer circumferential surface of the rotor.     摘要: There is provided an image forming apparatus which is capable of securing a time period for measuring the base reflected light quantity required for the base correction, and at the same time, reducing a time period required for the entire image density control. An image forming unit includes an image carrier disposed to be exposed to light to have a latent image formed thereon, an electrostatic charger that charges the image carrier to a predetermined polarity, a developing device that visualizes the latent image formed on the image carrier to form a visible image, and an endless belt onto which the visible image is transferred. A CPU controls the image forming unit to form predetermined detection patterns on the endless belt. The detection patterns and the quantity of reflection light from the endless belt are detected. The CPU corrects the detected detection patterns based on the detected quantity of reflection light. One of the image forming conditions is adjusted by the CPU, based on the corrected detection result of the detection patterns. Another one of the image forming conditions is adjusted by the CPU. The detection of the quantity of reflection light from the endless belt is carried out in timing synchronous with the adjustment of the other image forming condition.

    摘要: An image processing apparatus with capabilities for determining the direction of image on an original document when said document is read by a reader. The direction of the image is automatically determined by performing character recognition of the characters associated with the image and thereby determining the direction of the characters. The image is then assumed to have the same direction as the characters, thus it is possible to read images of different directions and assembly them in a single direction for subsequent processing. The process can be adaptable to provide either processing speed or high productivity.
