摘要： An apparatus for cutting a workpiece of glass, ceramic, or like material on a surface of which an incised cutting line has been formed beforehand has a backing roller made of an acrylic resin on which the workpiece is laid so that the incised line is in contact with the backing roller, a pressure applying roller with an annular pressure applying rim around its outer cylindrical surface for applying localized pressing force on the surface of the workpiece directly opposite the incised line, and a feeding mechanism for feeding the workpiece, thus pressed between the pressure applying rim and the backing roller, in the direction of the incised line, whereby the localized pressing force is applied over the entire length of the incised line. The localized pressing force creates a bending moment in the workpiece, producing a tension stress which becomes a maximum along the incised line, whereby the workpiece fractures and is thereby cut along the section in which incised line lies.

摘要： A multiroom air conditioner has a plurality of indoor heat exchangers connected to a single outdoor heat exchanger. A reversible expansion valve is installed on a liquid-side branch pipe for each of the indoor heat exchangers, and a solenoid valve is installed on a gas-side branch pipe for each indoor heat exchanger. Temperature sensors are provided on the liquid-side branch pipes, on the gas-side branch pipes, and on the outlet side during cooling of the outdoor heat exchanger. A pressure sensor or a temperature sensor detects the saturation temperature on the high-pressure side of the compressor. Based on the saturation temperature on the high-pressure side of the compressor, the temperature on the outlet side during cooling of the outdoor heat exchanger, and the temperatures in the liquidside branch pipes, a controller controls the expansion valves so as to obtain a target degree of subcooling during cooling and heating. The controller can also control the expansion valves so that the temperatures in each of the branch pipes are approximately equal to one another.

The compounds are novel lincomycin derivatives that have a potent activity against resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae, which have recently posed problems, in the treatment of infectious diseases. Further, the compounds are usable as antimicrobial agents and are useful for preventing or treating bacterial infectious diseases.
