摘要: An apparatus and method for generating a linearly filtered composite signal, wherein the original signal of said composite signal can be divided into a plurality of sequentially arranged original sub-signals. The apparatus having a plurality of memory (1.sub.1, 1.sub.2) which have stored filtered sub-signals y.sub.1 (n), y.sub.2 (n) obtained by linearly filtering the original sub-signals, respectively; an adder (5) for adding data of the sub-signals y.sub.1 (n), y.sub.2 (n) read out from the memory to provide the resultant data y.sub.1 (n)+y.sub.2 (n) to an output terminal of the apparatus; and a controller for controlling timings of providing the data of the sub-signals stored in the memory to the adder. The controller controls such that when a first sub-signal is to be generated, the data thereof sequentially read out from the corresponding memory are provided to the adder, thereby providing the data thereof through the adder to the output terminal, when a second sub-signal is to be generated in place of the first one, during a predetermined time period centered at a switching timing from the first sub-signal to the second one, both of data of the first and second sub-signals read out from the corresponding memory are added at the adder, thereby providing the added data to the output terminal, and thereafter, only the data of the second sub-signal read out from the second memory are provided to the adder, thereby providing the data thereof to the output terminal.

摘要: A ceramic laminate, which is obtained by stacking ceramic green sheets provided with conductor films distributed on central portions along surface directions thereof, is charged in a die assembly. The die assembly includes an upper punch for pressing a first major surface of the ceramic laminate, a frame which encloses peripheries of the upper punch and the ceramic laminate, and a base plate for pressing a second major surface of the ceramic laminate in a manner opposite to the upper punch. In order to prevent the conductor films from undergoing misregistration toward peripheral edge portions of the ceramic laminate due to flowing of ceramic caused by a pressure difference between the portions provided with the conductor films and those not provided with conductor films, the upper punch is divided into an outer peripheral portion which comes into contact with the peripheral edge portions of the ceramic laminate and a body portion which comes into contact with its central portion. In a step of exerting pressure, the outer peripheral portion compresses the laminate to a higher degree than the body portion, so that a substantially homogeneous pressure is applied to the overall laminate.

摘要: A method of ink jet recording wherein thermal and electric energies are applied to a liquid coloring agent, such as ink, to jet the ink toward a recording member, such as paper. A plurality of spaced apart electric heating resistor and lead electrodes are used to heat the ink and are in direct contact with the ink which has a high electrical resistivity, e.g., a volume resistivity of at least about 10.sup.6 .OMEGA..multidot. cm. Also, there may be used a plurality of spaced apart electric field forming electrodes to apply an electric field to the ink having sufficient electrical resistance to prevent leakage across the electrodes.
