    摘要: An injection molding apparatus includes an injection piston that is slidable within a nozzle having a movable valve gate pin. The injection piston is movable from a retracted position to an extended position in order to force melt towards a mold cavity. A valve is located at a forward end of the piston to selectively block communication between a recess, which is provided in an outer wall of the piston adjacent the valve, and a melt chamber of the nozzle. Movement of the injection piston from the retracted position to the extended position causes the valve to close so that the predetermined volume of melt located below the valve is forced into the mold cavity, when the valve gate pin opens the mold gate.

    摘要: An injection molding apparatus includes an injection piston that is slidable within a nozzle having a movable valve gate pin.     摘要: A method for injection molding a layer of phase change material around a surface of a plurality of identical motor components or hard disc drive components which includes providing a plurality of motor components or hard disc drive components; placing a motor component or hard disc drive component in a mold cavity of an injection molding machine having a controllable fill rate and a controllable injection pressure; closing said mold cavity; injecting a molten phase change material into said mold cavity at a fill rate and injection pressure; monitoring pressure in the mold cavity; controlling the fill rate of molten phase change material to obtain said motor component or hard disc drive component with the phase change material thereon, having a reproducible resonance spectrum; and repeating the above steps to produce a plurality of motor components or hard disc drive components each having a substantially uniform resonance spectrum.

    摘要: A tooling assembly (10) having complementary die sections. Die section (12) includes a face portion (14) having a tooling insert (16) mounted therein. Insert (16) includes an impression configuration (20) formed therein. Flow device assemblies (40) are in communication with impression configuration (20). Flow device assemblies (40) are variably rotatably mounted in die section (12) and are operatively connected to respective flow device actuation assemblies (60). Activation of flow device assemblies (60) can be performed manually, or automatically by, for example, respective conventional motors (90). Motors (90) may be electrical motors each with a driving mechanism attached to a respective flow control device (60). Activation of a flow device actuation assembly (60) causes a respective flow device assembly (40) to rotate and to thereby change its posture of communication with respect to impression configuration (20).
