    摘要： A side airbag apparatus is provided between a vehicle body and a back seat, and includes a base housing configured to house an airbag and an inflator, a base member having upper and lower base attachment portions provided to sandwich the base housing in an upper-to-lower direction and attached to a portion of the vehicle body, and a retainer member configured to hold the base housing from a vehicle back side. Right and left engagement claws at an upper end of a back wall of the retainer member are arranged to engage respectively with engagement holes provided at a portion of the vehicle body on the vehicle back side. A virtual plane passing through the upper and lower base attachment portions and extending along a vehicle front-to-back direction passes between the right and left engagement claws.

    摘要： A curtain airbag for a vehicle has a main chamber shaped in the position being mounted on the vehicle, in the inflated state covering an inner side structure of the vehicle. The curtain airbag has an additional chamber which, in the mounting position, is located at the in driving direction of the vehicle front portion of the main chamber, and deploys in the direction of the interior of the vehicle when the curtain airbag is inflated. The additional chamber is attached to the main chamber so as to be positioned in the inflated state between the front portion of the main chamber and an occupant to be restrained by the curtain airbag.

    摘要： A vehicle seat airbag system includes an airbag which is caused by the vehicle seat airbag system to inflate and develop within a seat back. A plurality of elastic installation supporting members is provided within a seat back frame that forms the framework of the seat back of a seat for the vehicle. A seat pad is disposed on the front surface of each elastic installation supporting member. The airbag in a contracted state is disposed rearwardly of the elastic installation supporting members. All of these components are covered by an outer layer material in a bag shape. The airbag, which inflates and develops in the seat back due to a collision or the like, elastically supports the upper body of a seated person, and elastically receives an impact force which is applied to the rear of the seat back.

    摘要： A vehicle seat includes an airbag and a concentrator strap that facilitates simplified assembly and enhanced airbag performance. The concentrator strap includes an attachment feature that cooperates with a corresponding feature of the seat frame in a manner that reduces cost, cycle time, and assembly errors. The concentrator strap extends over the airbag module and into an attachment opening, where an attachment tab engages the seat frame. The concentrator strap can be pre-attached to a seat cover and extended to engage the seat frame after the seat cover is partially installed over the seat frame, as the attachment tab can be configured for engagement without the need for special tools.
