摘要: The present disclosure relates to a medical diagnostic and delivery device that includes a mouthguard, a dental brace or a denture. The device can be positioned within a mouth or a buccal cavity of a user. A housing of the device can be shaped to be removably secured within the buccal cavity of the user, for example, include grooves shaped and sized to match a dental bite of the user. The device includes a cartridge containing one more substances or medications configured to be delivered to a user in the form a liquid, particles, or fine mist. Any suitable first air medication can be contained within the cartridge such as epinephrine, blood thinners, painkillers, vitamins or any other suitable drugs for limiting the extent of injury.

摘要: A vehicular safety system includes a rearward-viewing camera, a forward-viewing camera and an interior-viewing camera configured to be disposed at a vehicle. Image data captured by the forward-viewing camera is processed for (i) headlamp control, (ii) lane departure warning and/or (iii) object detection. Image data captured by the interior-viewing camera is processed for internal cabin surveillance. Responsive at least in part to processing of image data captured by at least one selected from the group consisting of (i) the rearward-viewing camera, (ii) the forward-viewing camera and (iii) the interior-viewing camera, and when reverse gear of the vehicle is not engaged, and responsive to determination of a potential collision involving the vehicle, a safety feature of the vehicle is triggered before actual collision occurs. If actual collision does not occur, the triggered safety feature returns to its condition that existed prior to determination of the potential collision.

The processor(s) are configured to map prior crash sensor data to prior determined audio system states and select the filter(s) by selecting some of the mapped prior crash sensor data.

摘要: An apparatus or front row vehicle seat having portions A, B, C and D. The apparatus is adjustable by an occupant in its normal motionless position. When a vehicle electronic control unit senses a hazardous traffic situation, it causes activation of a seat actuator. In response, each of seat portions A, B, C, and D is simultaneously altered, without an occupants' action, to a new deployed position. The new deployed positions of the seat portions A, B, C, and D inhibit occupant ejection from a vehicle. The portions A, B and D of the apparatus are supported by front and rear stationary pillars and a middle movable pillar. The pillars project from a related unit seat height adjuster. The interaction of the rear stationary pillars with the portion D helps keep various seat components in the same orientation and position with respect to each other before and after deployment.

摘要: Occupants of an autonomous vehicle may not always have a view of the outside environment (e.g., they may be occupied consuming digital content, or their vehicle may not have windows). However, such occupants may benefit from gaining a view to the outside environment when an unexpected driving event is about to occur. Such a view can increase their awareness to the event, making them less likely to be surprised, disturbed, or distressed by the event. In one embodiment, an occupant of an autonomous vehicle receives a video see-through (VST) of the environment outside the vehicle when such an unexpected driving event is imminent.

摘要: Described herein is utilization of nontransparent Shock-Absorbing Energy Dissipation Padding (SAEDP) in an autonomous on-road vehicle. In one embodiment, the vehicle includes a side window located at eye level of an occupant who sits in the vehicle. The side window enables the occupant to see the outside environment. A motor is configured to move the SAEDP over a sliding mechanism between first and second states. A processor is configured to command the motor to move the SAEDP from the first state to the second state responsive to an indication that a probability of an imminent collision reaches a threshold. In the first state, the SAEDP does not block the occupant's eye level view to the outside environment, and in the second state, the SAEDP blocks the occupant's eye level view to the outside environment in order to protect the occupant's head against hitting the side window during collision.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for transmitting video data associated with a vehicle. In one exemplary embodiment, a vehicle processor determines a vehicle safety event based on one or more safety sensors, activates one or more vehicle cameras that capture video data in response to the determined vehicle safety event, records the video data in a vehicle data storage device, and, if the vehicle processor determines that a suitable connection to a telecommunications network is available when the video data is being captured, then transmits the video data over the telecommunications network in substantially real time.
