    摘要: An apparatus and method is provided for controlling the coordination of pressure control equipment such as a BOP stack and/or a snubbing unit and/or other pressure control equipment in a well completion system while moving pipes into or out of a wellbore under pressure. In one embodiment, a moveable clamp and a fixed clamp are provided. The moveable clamp is clamped to a pipe while the fixed clamp is open so that the moveable clamp either moves the pipe into the well or pulls it out of the well. The fixed clamp is then clamped to the pipe. The moveable clamp is unclamped and moves to another position whereupon the process is repeated. A computer controls operation of the moveable clamp, fixed clamp, seals, and pipe moving equipment which moves pipe into and out of the mast.

    摘要: A centralizer is provided for centralizing a tubular, such as a drill pipe, in a wellbore. The centralizer comprises a resilient inner sleeve comprising three or more protruding members extending radially outwardly from an outer surface of the inner sleeve. The inner sleeve receives the tubular and spaces the tubular from the wellbore. The centralizer further comprises an outer support body for receiving the outer surface of inner sleeve. When the inner sleeve is retained between the support body and the tubular, the protruding members project out through windows formed in the support body. The support body and the inner sleeve are retained about the tubular with a pair of annular end collars. A method for replacing worn components of the centralizer is also provided.

    摘要: A method for drilling a wellbore includes drilling the wellbore by injecting drilling fluid into a top of a tubular string disposed in the wellbore at a first flow rate and rotating a drill bit. The tubular string includes: the drill bit disposed on a bottom thereof, tubular joints connected together, a longitudinal bore therethrough, a port through a wall thereof, and a sleeve operable between an open position where the port is exposed to the bore and a closed position where a wall of the sleeve is disposed between the port and the bore. The method further includes moving the sleeve to the open position; and injecting drilling fluid into the port at a second flow rate while adding a tubular joint(s) to the tubular string. The injection of drilling fluid into the tubular string is continuously maintained between drilling and adding the joint(s).
