摘要: A method includes receiving an output signal from a conductive element configured within a dielectric material. The conductive element can have an input voltage applied thereto and the output signal can include a plurality of signal amplitudes indicative of electric charges discharged across a gap between the conductive element and the dielectric material in response to the applied input voltage. The method can also include determining charge characterization data and classifying a material and a geometry of the conductive element and/or the dielectric material. The classification can include an operational state of the conductive element and/or the dielectric material. Related systems, apparatuses, and non-transitory computer readable mediums are also described.

摘要: A test fixture for testing a material according to a particular test procedure. A metallic base and four non-conductive side panels are affixed along a periphery of the base to form an internal cavity, and a non-conductive top cover is hingedly connected to one side panel. A metallic bottom electrode has an upper surface for holding a test material and a lower portion installed into a first aperture in an upper surface of the base. A metallic top electrode has a lower portion with a lower surface for contacting the test material and an upper portion extending out of a cover aperture in the top cover when the lower surface is in contact with the test material. A voltage source is coupled to perform the testing via a terminal on the base and the upper portion of the top electrode.

摘要: A method and a device for testing for the presence of micro-holes or microcracks in a bottom surface of test objects includes an upper electrode arranged above a transport level and a lower electrode arranged below the transport level. The magnitude of a test voltage generated by two voltage sources connected in series is controlled at the electrodes so that the test voltage is greater than or equal to the breakdown voltage between the electrodes in air, and smaller than the breakdown voltage through a test object without holes or cracks. The test voltage is controlled temporally and synchronously with the movement of the test objects, so that the test voltage is only applied when one of the test objects is located between the electrodes. A hole or crack is recognized by a breakdown to the discharge path between the electrodes.

摘要: Provided is an apparatus for analyzing the state of oil-filled electrical devices. The apparatus simulates the state of an oil-filled electrical device in which copper wire wrapped in insulating paper is immersed in insulating oil. The apparatus for analyzing the state of oil-filled electrical devices includes a first paper-covered copper wire and a second paper-covered copper wire, which are adjacent to each other; a tank which holds the first and second paper-covered copper wires as well as insulating oil extracted from the oil-filled electrical device, thereby immersing the first and second paper-covered copper wires in the insulating oil; and a capacitance measurement unit which measures the capacitance between the first and second paper-covered copper wires. The first and second paper-covered copper wires includes copper wire and insulating paper wrapped therearound. The insulating paper wrapper around each copper wire includes the same material as the insulating paper in the oil-filled electrical device.

摘要: A test vessel assembly (10) comprises a central test vessel 12 defining a chamber 18 in which a sample to be tested may be stored. A pair of side adjustable electrodes 30, 30a is received in the chamber and immersed in the sample under test. A gap between the electrodes can be adjusted by respective electrode adjusting assemblies, each comprising a shaft 32 connected to a respective electrode, the shaft being moved in and out of the test vessel 12 by rotation of an associated adjusting wheel 60. In use, each electrode 30, 30a is electrically connected to a contact in an insulated horn of a test assembly via the respective shafts, for the supply of a steadily increasing voltage to determine the breakdown voltage of the sample. To prevent the breakdown in air rather than in the sample, care is taken to ensure sufficiently large creepage and clearance distances between the connections to the electrodes and from the connections to the electrodes to a wall of the test chamber. To this end, horn covers 46, 46a are placed over the horns. In addition, for the same purpose, the adjusting wheels 60 include convolutions 63, 65 that mesh with corresponding convolutions 70, 72 in the test vessel 12 and the horn covers 46, 46a.
