    摘要: An illuminator is provided for use with a hand-held electronic device such as a gaming device. The illuminator includes at least one light attached to one or more brackets which are rotatably secured to the gaming device. When the illumination device is in use, the lights may be moved to various positions, thereby preventing a user's view of a screen from being obstructed and also producing off-axis sources of illumination from various angles. These angles can be changed to minimize glare, to allow the screen to be viewed from various positions or otherwise to suit the needs of the user. The brackets may be moved to positions which conform with the sides of the gaming device. When the brackets are positioned in this manner, they do not increase the overall thickness of the gaming device.

The at least one analog pressure-sensitive element receives pressure applied by a user's finger or thumb to the depressible surface, varied pressure applied by the user determines varied value of the signal. The resultant control manipulation from the analog variable value is in some manner indicated, displayed or made visually detectable on the display at least at the time of manipulation so that the user receives visual feedback allowing termination, increase or decrease, if needed or desired, of finger pressure on the depressible surface of the analog sensor.

    摘要: A sensor connecting sheet material for inclusion in appropriately structured multiple-axes controllers comprised of a single input member operable in 6 DOF relative to a reference member of the controller. The input member having return-to-center resiliency relative to the reference member on at least the three perpendicular linear axes. The input member can be of a continuously rotatable trackball-type or a limited rotation joystick-type, and the reference member can be a shaft, a base or a housing. The controllers include carriage structuring for influencing sheet connected sensors by hand-applied operation of the input member. The preferred structures provide cooperative interaction with movement or force influenced sensors in primarily a single area. Some, most, or all of the sensors are preferably supported on a generally single plane, such as on a printed flexible membrane sensor sheet or circuit board sheet. In an alternative embodiment, sensors and conductive traces are applied on a generally flat, flexible membrane sensor sheet, which is then bent into a three dimensional configuration which may in some cases reach a widely-spread 3-D constellation of 6 DOF and/or other sensor mountings. The use of sensors connected by a sheet member, whether finally applied in a flat or 3-D configuration, enables efficient circuit and sensor connection and placement during manufacture, resulting in low product costs and high reliability.

    摘要: A switching apparatus for an electron device, for controlling movement of an image on a display unit, including a plurality of pushbuttons being provided on upper surfaces with directional symbols which represent upward, downward, leftward, rightward directions and random or non-linear paths of travel in which the image displayed is allowed to move. When the pushbuttons are pressed, control signals are transmitted to a control circuit of the electronic device. The pushbuttons with the symbols indicating the four directions are arranged in a cross form, while the pushbuttons with the symbols indicating random and/or non-linear paths of travel are arranged between the pushbuttons forming the cross arms. Further, the pushbuttons with the directional symbols are arranged around a center pushbutton for stopping movement of the displayed image. The pushbuttons are made of a resilient material and assembled as a single unit.

Game pieces which have projecting necks are mounted on the guide pieces by inserting the projecting necks into the guide grooves allowing them to be slid along the guide grooves, but not be removed. The game pieces can be rearranged on the cover board to bear a particular pattern or a combination of characters. When the game pieces are depressed, they push rubber keys placed therebelow so as to operate the calculator.

    摘要: A key mechanism comprises an elastic structure comprising a first cavity located above a second cavity which are spaced apart from each other. The key mechanism comprises first and second button structures. The second button structure comprises an electrode layer on an upper wall of the second cavity and an electrode layer on a lower wall of the second cavity. The second button structure has an elastic body on the surface of one of the electrode layers. The first button structure is configured to generate a first key signal when a force is applied to an upper wall of the first cavity and compress the upper wall of the second cavity upon application of that force. The electrode layers come into contact to generate a second key signal in response to elastic deformation of the elastic body when the force is applied.
