摘要： A technique is described for completely and positively wiring components into mass produced machines, such as washing machines, dryers and the like. The subject technique encompasses improved contacts, connectors and a wiring harness all of which are individually and collectively adopted to provide a readily ascertainable positive visual indication of a full mating condition and which will prevent further assembly of components if not initially fully assembled in the proper relationship. Each subassembly of a connector and related component includes keying means allowing only correct assembly and mounting in the machine plus visual indicators which verify correct assembly at each step. The connectors preferably have housings which can be produced in great lengths and cut to the desired shorter lengths. These housings also include strain relief means for the associated conductors and may be hermaphroditic. Each contact terminal includes an insulation displacing conductor engaging portion, enabling rapid connection with associated conductors, and a matable portion adopted to readily engage several different size mating contacts. In the preferred embodiment, the contact terminal is also completely hermaphroditic both in the manner it mates with other contacts and with regard to which end makes an insulation displacing engagement with an associated conductor.

摘要： An elongated handle having a square cross-section is adapted at one end to receive a swivel electrical power supply means and at the other end to receive a detachable hollow, metal housing which encloses a heating element. The housing is elongated about its longitudinal axis and is formed with a plurality of flat side surface portions disposed angularly with respect to each other and joined at parallel edges which are slightly rounded for imparting a temporary bend to wet hairs held over the rounded edges under tension. A flipper arm type hair holding means is pivotably mounted to the handle and has a blade portion which overlies the upper flat side surface of the housing for sandwiching strands of hair therebetween. The housing and handle are coupled together through quick-release, locking means operable with the same hand with which the handle is held by simply depressing a release button mounted on the handle permitting an urging means to disconnect the housing from the handle without the necessity of the operator to use the other hand to touch or grab the hot housing. Means are provided for applying oil vapor to the held hair through slots on the upper flat side surface of the housing.

摘要： A high voltage (HV) header assembly includes an outer housing having a right angle body including a first segment and a second segment oriented perpendicularly to the first segment. The first segment has a mating interface at a distal end for mating with a plug assembly. The second segment has a mounting flange at a distal end for mounting to a device. The second segment extends from the first segment such that the mounting flange is oriented perpendicularly to the mating interface. The body defines a right angle chamber extending through the first and second segments between the mating interface and the mounting flange. The chamber has first and second openings therethrough in the first and second segments, respectively. HV contacts are received in the chamber of the outer housing and are configured to electrically connect to plug contacts of the plug assembly.

摘要： An electrical connector system includes a header and an electrical connector assembly. The header includes a leading end having a plurality of contact pins that are insertable into an electronic device and a plurality of separated stripline ground plates extending from the leading end toward a mating end of the header. The electrical connector assembly is coupleable with the mating end of the header and includes a plurality of electrical connectors secured in a stacked configuration. Each electrical connector includes a planar insulative connector body and a plurality of electrical cable terminations for mating with a corresponding plurality of contact pins of the header. At least two electrical cable terminations make electrical contact with a common stripline ground plate when the header and the electrical connector assembly are in a mated configuration.

A first embodiment of the coupling mechanism includes axially spaced ribs extending from an outer surface of the housing body and a snap ring connectable to the structure and the housing. A second embodiment of the coupling mechanism includes a peg protruding from the housing and a lock nut with a detent for coupling the peg to the lock nut. Finally, a third embodiment of the coupling mechanism includes a saddle and cup each having a ridge that cooperates with the axial spaced ribs to couple the housing to the automobile body.

The manufactured article presents an essentially flat surface (6), a series of holes (4) aligned in relation to one another communicating with each element of the battery, a plurality of caps (11) lodged in said holes and a channel (5) for conveying the fumes generated by the battery and having its ends facing the external surface of the lid. With such an embodiment the lid is suited to be used on batteries of the "KAMINA" type, since it suffices for this purpose to place a tube for the exhaust of the fumes at at least one end of the conveyance channel (5). On the other hand, when the lid according to the invention is to be used on batteries of the "re-combination" type, it is sufficient to insert at the end of the re-conveyance channel (5) at least one one-way valve and sealing means such as OR rings under each cap (11).
