摘要: A method is provided for controlling charging of an energy storage system in a vehicle including an electric machine which is arranged for propulsion of the vehicle. The method includes initiating the charging upon connection of the energy storage system to an external power supply via connector elements; and transmitting, between the vehicle and the external power supply, a control signal including data related to the charging by a wireless transmission link. The method furthermore includes evaluating whether the control signal is received; and terminating the charging in the event that the control signal is not received. An arrangement for controlling charging of an energy storage system is also provided.

摘要: A vehicle is disclosed comprising a pre-charge circuit, including a resistor, that selectively connects a traction battery to an electrical impedance. A controller is programmed to inhibit pre-charging for an amount of time when a predetermined number of pre-charge cycles have occurred within a preceding predetermined period of time. The predetermined number of pre-charge cycles may be based on a voltage or current magnitude across the resistor during the previous pre-charge cycles. The predetermined number of times may be modified based on prior successful and failed pre-charge cycles. A method of limiting a temperature increase of a pre-charge resistor is disclosed comprising counting a number of prior pre-charge cycles and inhibiting pre-charging when the number of prior pre-charge cycles within the preceding period of time exceeds a threshold.

摘要: A vehicle charging control method is provided. The method includes recognizing scheduled charging information predetermined for vehicle charging and detecting charging equipment connected to the vehicle. Whether a scheduled charging is performed is determined based at least on whether charging information from the charging equipment corresponds to the scheduled charging information. Whether an automatic charging is performed is determined based at least on predetermined user set-up information when the charging information deviates from the scheduled charging information. A charging operation, including the scheduled charging and the automatic charging is then performed for the vehicle.

The apparatus also includes a first controller configured to control the first voltage converter to convert the second voltage into the first charging voltage and to provide the first charging voltage to the first energy storage device during a charging mode of operation and communicate with a second controller located remotely from the power electronic energy conversion system to cause a second charging voltage to be provided to the first energy storage device during the charging mode of operation to rapidly charge the first energy storage device.

摘要: A method and charging system for effectively performing measurement of a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal for selection of a charging mode between an electric vehicle and a charger are disclosed. The method for determining a charging mode of an electric vehicle includes measuring a duty ratio of a control signal applied to a communication line of a charger connector by a first controller for controlling slow charging and a second controller for controlling quick charging, transmitting measurement results obtained from each of the first controller and the second controller to a third controller in charge of a battery, determining a final duty ratio using the measurement results by the third controller, transmitting the determined final duty ratio to the first controller and the second controller, and starting charging in a mode corresponding to the final duty ratio.

摘要: A drive system includes a first energy storage, a second energy storage, a driver, and a controller. The first energy storage is charged and discharged. A first amount of heat is generated by charging and discharging the first energy storage. The second energy storage is charged and discharged. The second amount of heat is generated by charging and discharging the second energy storage and is smaller than the first amount of heat. The driver generates driving power to move an electrically powered vehicle with electric power supplied from at least one of the first energy storage and the second energy storage. The controller controls temperature of the first energy storage and temperature of the second energy storage with a coolant flowing inside the electrically powered vehicle. The first energy storage is cooled by the coolant before the second energy storage is cooled by the coolant.

摘要: According to one embodiment, contactless power transfer transformer includes power transmission coil and power reception coil. At least one of the power transmission coil and the power reception coil is configured by coupled and both-sides wound coil. The coupled and both-sides wound coil is configured by both-sides wound coils. One of magnetic poles of one of the both-sides wound coils is connected to one of the magnetic poles of adjacent one of the both-sides wound coils. Directions of magnetic fluxes toward corresponding coil from each of the magnetic poles connected to each other are identical. The both-sides wound coils are selected so that leakage magnetic flux around moving body does not exceed predetermined value. Number of the both-sides wound coils is set so that value obtained by multiplying power transfer capacity of one of the both-sides wound coils by the number satisfies capacity of the transformer.
