    摘要: An improved suspension connector assembly is provided that is particularly adapted for use with a multiple pin and barrel type electrical connector. The suspension connector assembly includes a female connector mounted within a stationary housing, a movable male connector adapted to be raised and lowered toward and away from the female connector via the cable of a hoisting mechanism, and a latching mechanism for latching and unlatching the male connector to the female connector when the two are mutually engaged for a latching stroke distance. A resilient mounting assembly interconnects the female connector with the stationary housing. The stroke of the resilient mounting assembly is at least as long as the latching stroke distance of the latching mechanism so that the pins and barrels of the male and female electrical connectors will not be partially pulled apart from one another as a result of the stroke of the latching mechanism.

    摘要: Disclosed is a corrosion-free connector-structure of a fuel pump used in a vehicle fuel supply system. An electrical connector portion of a fuel pump is shaped into a square tube and its tubular wall is formed with a lock window for engagement with an engagement nail of a female connector and a fluid discharge port at an upper and lower portion thereof, respectively. As gasoline fuel level in the fuel tank lowers, the connector portion is exposed to air in the fuel tank and gasoline in the upper space within the connector portion or tubular wall pushes down and discharges water and degraded gasoline remaining in the lower space within the connector portion through the discharge port. Since water and degraded gasoline will not remain within the connector portion, electrical connector members or electrodes may be prevented from corrosion.

    摘要: An electrical connector assembly 10 for transmitting electrical energy, and especially designed for use with electric vehicles. The electrical connector assembly 10 includes an electrical connector or plug 16 with electrical contacts and an electrical connector inlet assembly or receptacle 20 with mating electrical contacts. The plug has a cover 50 for selectively covering and uncovering its electrical contacts to prevent inadvertent contact with the electrical contacts. Likewise, the receptacle has a cover 460 for selectively covering and uncovering its electrical contacts to prevent inadvertent contact with the electrical contacts. In the preferred embodiment, the covers of the plug and receptacle are either automatically or manually uncovered only after full insertion of the plug into the receptacle. The plug can be inserted into the receptacle with little or no force by the user since the contacts of the plug and receptacle are not electrically coupled together until after full insertion of the plug into the receptacle. The plug 16 can be provided with one or more sensors (magnets) 119, and receptacle 20 can also be provided with one or more sensors (reed switches) 358 which cooperate with sensors 119 to sense the absence or incorrect positioning of plug 16 in receptacle 20. The sensors 119 and 358 also interact to activate a microprocessor 24 to determine compatibility of power between plug 16 and receptacle 20.

The feeder connector prevents the feeding-side and receiving-side connectors from detachment during feeding in charging an electric vehicle and has a simple structure suitable for multi-polarization.

    摘要: An electrical cable and connector assembly for electrically coupling equipment to a power source, and having an electrical cable with a plurality of power conductors and a pilot conductor releasably coupled to an electrical contact in an electrical connector, so that the pilot conductor releases from the electrical contact of the connector when a mechanical stress or force is applied to the cable. The pilot conductor releases from the contact of the connector prior to damage occurring to the remaining conductors from the stress or force applied to the cable. The power conductors are spirally wrapped about the centrally located pilot conductor so that the power conductors can stretch while the pilot conductor is pulled from its electrical contact upon application of the force or stress on the cable. In another embodiment, a non-conducting line or wire is connected to the ends of one of the conductors so that the stress or force applied to the cable is transmitted to the non-conducting line instead of to any of the conductors. Specifically, the non-conducting line is shorter than the conductors so that when the non-conducting line is stressed, the releasable end of the conductor will disconnect from its contact before stress is transmitted to the conductors.
