Abstract:
A method, terminal, and server for updating an interactive component are disclosed. The method includes: receiving a notification message delivered by a server, where the notification message carries information about update of an interactive media document; and obtaining an updated interactive media document according to the information about update of the interactive media document. A terminal and a server that apply the method are disclosed. The present disclosure avoids the extra operations and storage consumption brought by the practice of changing the direction of the interactivityMediaDocumentPointer for updating the interactive component. Therefore, when a part of the interactive media documents in the interactive component changes on the server, the terminal updates the changed interactive media documents conveniently in time, the update efficiency is improved, and the update time and resources are saved.
Abstract:
Interactive digital media platform, methods and apparatus for detecting and dynamically synchronizing to media content (e.g., television (TV) programs or movies) that a viewer is watching while providing related content on a second screen for enhancing the viewer experience. In one embodiment, the primary content is determined by detecting an audio signal of the primary content via the second screen device; the audio signal may then be processed to generate a fingerprint for comparison with a data store of primary content. The primary content can be classified by various categories (e.g., unique program, advertising, repeat airing, theme song . . . ) and the classification used to aid in the identification and/or in selection of the content to be presented on the interactive second screen device. The system allows a substantially real time comparison and recognition of what primary content a viewer is watching on a first screen device and presentation to the user of content that is substantially synchronous to the viewer's location in the primary content. The viewer can actively engaged with the content presented and can share the content with others via social networking and the like.
Abstract:
A method for receiving a multimedia service is provided. The method includes receiving service specific information for at least one multimedia service provided from different networks, selecting one service based on the service specific information, and receiving the selected service. The service specific information includes one of a first service map table including information about at least one service which is transmitted over a plurality of logical channels, and a second service map table including information about at least one service which is transmitted over a single logical channel. Each of the first and second service map tables includes asset-related information.
Abstract:
A portable device is used to capture, in real time, data sufficient to identify an item, such as a product or service promoted, or a music track played, on a broadcast medium such as radio or television. The capture device can be a standalone implementation, or an application program executable on a personal communication device such as a cell phone or Blackberry. The capture device communicates the captured data to a remote server via a selected wired or wireless channel, or the internet, and the server provides services to support the user in responding to the radio or television broadcast item that corresponds to the captured data. The server on demand downloads to the user additional digital content associated with the identified radio broadcast item.
Abstract:
A method of receiving and process a broadcast signal including a Non-Real Time (NRT) service and a broadcast receiver are disclosed herein. A method of processing a broadcast signal including a Non-Real Time (NRT) service, the method comprises receiving and processing a signaling information table including access information of the NRT service, receiving and storing data of the NRT service based on the signaling information table in non-real time, extracting access information of additional information relating to the NRT service from the signaling information table, and downloading the additional information relating to the NRT service based on the extracted access information.
Abstract:
Systems, apparatus and methods provide an automatic capability for generating interactivity event applications for execution on receiver devices within a broadcast network based upon interactivity event application data, information and sequence logic. Interactivity event content providers may provide to a broadcast network interactivity event application data, event metadata information and sequence logic a broadcast network. Such applications may be transmitted via the broadcast network. Transmitted applications may be activated in receiver devices in response to receiving a signal from a real-time broadcast stream. Activation signals may be used to synchronize application activation with an event in a media program so downloaded applications may be activated in synchrony with broadcast programs. Interactive applications may be dynamically generated at run time. Multiple interactive applications may be generated from a same set of interactivity application data, each targeting different types of devices. Signaling mechanisms may signal multiple return unicast channels for user responses.
Abstract:
A database construction system constructs a database storing broadcast channels which are receivable in each area. A receiving unit receives probe information from a plurality of broadcast receiving apparatuses, the probe information including reception intensity of each of the broadcast channels and positions of the broadcast receiving apparatuses. An information storage unit stores the probe information received by the receiving unit. An extracting unit extracts the probe information with the same broadcast channel as that of new probe information, which is the probe information newly received by the receiving unit, among the probe information transmitted from a transmission area of the new probe information, from the information storage unit. A determining unit determines whether the new probe information is valid on the basis of the reception intensity included in the probe information extracted by the extracting unit and the reception intensity included in the new probe information. A database update unit updates the database using the new probe information that is determined to be valid by the determining unit.
Abstract:
A method for providing widgets according to broadcast service information and a broadcast receiving apparatus using the same, are provided. The widget-providing method receives and outputs a broadcast, which is selected by a user, and displays one of a plurality of widget groups based on the acquired information of the selected broadcast. Accordingly, users can have and use widget groups related to information on the user-selected broadcast.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for realizing fully customized mobile advertisement services based on notifications. Such systems and methods in accordance with various embodiments, allow for full customization of advertisement content, display time, and location. A notification framework may be utilized to transmit and receive notification messages that include information about at least one of a scheduled advertisement period, announcement of the availability of at least one advertisement, and a trigger of presentation associated with the advertisement.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method of transmitting and receiving a broadcast signal and an apparatus for receiving the broadcast signal. In the present invention, first program table information describing a broadcasting stream, and second program table information including additional service identifier information of the multiplexed stream and third program table information describing the additional service data for the, multiplexed stream are obtained. The additional service can be provided with the additional service data by using the third program table information.
