Abstract:
A foldable, portable optical instrument has an optical imaging head for providing an image of, or video signals of, a material placed on a table of a main housing structure of the optical instrument. The foldable instrument includes a head support mounted for raising-up and folding-down movement to rotatably support the imaging head and to position the imaging head over the table, units for illuminating the material on the table, respective supporting structures mounted for raising-up and folding-down movement to support the illumination units upwardly with respect to the table when the head support is raised up, and a cover attached to the head support for covering the illumination units and the supporting structures when the head support is folded down. The foldable instrument is provided with a carrying handle which can be drawn out of the outline of the instrument when the unit is folded down to enable grasping to carry around the instrument. The instrument preferably is used with a shading member, detachably mounted on the imaging head, to prevent the material on the table from receiving light other than from the imaging head.
Abstract:
A video scanning arrangement for scanning and digitizing documents, and having a scanner actuable to scan a document on a tablet beneath the scanner. The scanner is attached to a horizontal arm member which is in turn attached to and movable up and down a vertical support member which in turn is attached to the tablet. Two light arms are pivotally attached to the horizontal arm member and each light arm has a light source attached to its nonpivoting end. Each light arm is normally folded against the horizontal arm member for storage when the video scanning arrangement is not in use, and the light arms are extended to move the light sources away from the arm member when the video scanning arrangement is to be used. The light sources are energized to illuminate a document on the tablet when the scanner is actuated to scan a document.
Abstract:
An operability of a user in an image processing apparatus such as a camera scanner is improved. For this purpose, the image processing apparatus has: a pickup image obtaining unit for obtaining a pickup image on a stage through an imaging unit; a distance image obtaining unit for obtaining a distance image on the stage through a solid measuring unit; a detecting unit for detecting the putting of an object on the stage based on the obtained pickup image; a projecting unit for projecting an operation display regarding the reading of the object onto the stage through a projector when the putting of the object is detected; a recognizing unit for recognizing a gesture of the user on the stage based on the obtained distance image; and a reading unit for obtaining a read image of the object in accordance with the gesture to the projected operation display.
Abstract:
A portable camera for recording and displaying an image of an object such as printed paper wherein the camera is arranged to be positioned on an object to be recorded wherein the cameras is provided with an outer lower surface which is arranged to be in contact with the object if the camera is positioned on the object, a light sensitive sensor for obtaining an image of at least a portion of the object, a display and processing means for processing the image obtained by means of the sensor and for displaying at least a portion of the recorded image on the display in a possible magnified form, wherein the camera is provided with at least one lighting unit for lighting the object to be recorded when the camera is positioned on the object, wherein the camera is arranged such that light rays of the at least one lighting unit which are, in use, submitted to the object are directly submitted to the object, possibly via a mirror and/or a lens wherein the lighting unit is arranged within the camera such that if the object which is recorded would be a flat mirror whereon the camera is positioned for recording the flat mirror, the lighting unit is located outside a viewing field of the sensor which viewing field is formed in combination with the flat mirror.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a printing unit which is disposed in a housing and configured to form an image on a sheet, an lid attached to the housing by a hinge mechanism, and a camera which is attached to the lid and configured to read an image on a document while the lid is open, wherein the sheet having the image formed by the printing unit is discharged on the lid, and when the lid is opened, the camera can read the document which is placed at a reading position below the camera.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus includes: a moving body on which a catch receiving portion is formed and which is movable in a predetermined direction; a fixing body on which a catching portion is formed to catch the catch receiving portion, and which is movable in a direction substantially orthogonal to the predetermined direction; a first position retaining portion for engaging a projected portion, formed on either one of a housing and the fixing body, with a first recessed portion formed on the other so that the fixing body can be retained in a position in which the catching portion catches the catch receiving portion; and a second position retaining portion for engaging the projected portion with a second recessed portion, formed on either the housing or the fixing body on which the first recessed portion is formed.
Abstract:
An image display system includes: an image input apparatus and an image display apparatus connected thereto that displays an image obtained. The image input apparatus includes an image pickup unit, a movable holding unit selectively brought into an imaging state or a non-imaging state and a state detection unit. A control unit brings the image input apparatus and the image display apparatus into a disconnected state where a transmission path for transferring data between the image input apparatus and the image display apparatus is logically disconnected when in the non-imaging state, and brings the image input apparatus and the image display apparatus into a connected state when in the imaging state.
Abstract:
A carry case includes a body, a cover, and a lock unit. The body houses an image scanner. The cover is supported with respect to the body such that the cover can rotate around a longitudinal direction of the body. The lock unit locks the cover to the body in a closing state in which the cover covers the body after being rotated with respect to the body in an approaching direction along which the cover approaches the body. The cover is rotated with respect to the body in a withdrawing direction opposite to the approaching direction while the lock held by the lock unit is being released, so that the cover is developed to form a discharge path of a read medium.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a portable magnifier camera that can be selectively positioned into a variety of configurations. At least four distinct viewing configurations are provided: a reading mode wherein the camera rests flatly upon the viewed object; a writing mode wherein the camera rests at an angle upon the viewed object; a hand-held mode wherein the user holds the camera relative to a distant object; and an inspection mode wherein the user holds the viewed object relative to the camera. These configurations enable a user to effectively view objects of differing size and at varying distances.
Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a document processing device with picture-taking, video and audio recording, scanning and projecting functions, which mainly is including a set of base composed of a left and a right base bodies, a vertical rack bar able to be insert-put on the left and right base bodies, a horizontal rack bar pivot-connected on top of the vertical rack bar, a main machine body pivot-set in the vertical rack bar elements. The said main machine body has an optical lens and is set with a microphone and a light compensator. The device of present invention can be provided for putting the ordinary document data on the base. The data on the documents can be transformed into editable files by utilizing the optical lens inside the main machine body to take the pictures and through the recognizing software. Furthermore, it can record the audio or video in accordance with selected action processes through the main machine body. Simultaneously, the main machine body can further provide for connecting externally with the computers to proceed the image projecting.
