    Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide an automated plant probe system and method. The plant probe can include a body and a housing with a hardware module. The hardware module can include a communication module, an electronic controller, and memory. The plant probe can include a probe with a sensor module. The sensor module can including various sensors, such as a moisture sensor and/or a growing media sensor. The plant probe system can include a control system in communication with the communication module of the plant probe. The control system can receive plant data from the sensor module and use the plant data to provide plant recommendations.

    Abstract: A method of managing crops using an electronic device having an interface. Inputs of crop data is received, and each of the crop data is associated with a sample site location corresponding to each of a plurality of images captured by an image capturing device. A graph plotting one or more types of crop data including data associated with the plurality of images is generated in a first display region of the interface. A subset of sample site locations requiring one of a predetermined set of actions is displayed on the map in a second display region of the interface based on a selection within one of the plots on the graph.

    Abstract: Vertical farming/gardening systems and methods of using. The systems include a track defining a path in which a change in elevation occurs, buckets pivotally secured to the track to travel along the path, and a moving mechanism for moving the buckets along the path. A first bucket has a cavity containing either a growing medium capable of supporting plants growing within the cavity or a solar collector for dehydrating plants within the cavity. One or more service stations located along the path of the track perform actions on the growing medium or the plants within the cavity of the first bucket as the first bucket travels along the path. One or more sensors analyze the growing medium or plants within the cavity of the first bucket. A master control unit controls the system including travel of the buckets along the path of the track.

A generator module (120) accesses one or more configuration data structures (220) wherein the one or more configuration data structures include data fields to store crop data (221), advice data (222) related to respective crop data, and crop protection product data (223) related to respective advice. Further, it accesses a plurality of code snippets (230) wherein each code snippet (231, 232, 233) has a condition which relates either to at least one property field of the one or more data structures (220) or to a result of another code snippet, and further includes generic program logic associated with the condition, and wherein each property field is used in the condition of at least one code snippet. The plurality of code snippets is applied to the one or more configuration data structures to generate an advice logic program.
