    摘要: A new and useful method of granulating calcium carbonate is provided. Such a method entails the inclusion of very low amounts of an aqueous solution citric acid to a calcium carbonate material, with subsequent, mixing, drying, milling, and sieving to provide the correct target particle size range for the resultant granulated materials. Such granulated calcium carbonate materials exhibit very high available calcium levels, excellent flow characteristics, capability for compression into tablets, and a drastic reduction in needed binders to effectuate the desired granulation itself. Products including such granulated calcium carbonate materials are also encompassed within this invention.

    摘要: An antacid and laxative tablet comprising magnesium oxide particles as an effective component, wherein (i) the magnesium oxide particles contained in the tablet have an average secondary particle diameter measured by a laser diffraction scattering method of 0.5 to 10 μm, (ii) the content of magnesium oxide particles in the tablet is 88 wt % or more, (iii) the tablet does not become blackish and has substantially no tableting spot, and (iv) the disintegration time is 10 sec or less. The antacid and laxative tablet of the present invention has a high content of magnesium oxide particles, a short disintegration time, does not become blackish, has no tablet trouble and no tableting spot and is suitably administered orally.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method for preparing a tablet for the vaginal administration of progesterone for systemic use. The method comprises first mixing water with micronized progesterone, the total amount of water mixed with said micronized progesterone not exceeding the maximum wetting capacity of the micronized progesterone, drying the wetted, micronized progesterone; mixing the dry micronized progesterone with other pharmaceutically acceptable excipients or diluents; and; forming a tablet by direct compaction of the dry micronized progesterone. Tablets prepared by this method are also provided.

    摘要: A container for effervescent tablets 3, includes a tube 2 with a base 7 and upper opening closed by a screw cap 4 provided with a seal in polythene. A spring 10 is placed inside the tube 2 and pushes tablets 3 upwards to facilitate extraction thereof. Guide fins 12, placed at the edge of tube 2, stop tablets 3 at this edge and allow their extraction, one at a time, with a transverse thrust. On base 7 is a tablet of drying agent 8, separated from tablets 3 by a perforated divider 9. At the base of tube 2, a storage unit 13 is attached by screwing, closed by a cap 19, and intended to hold at least one tablet or half a tablet separated by a perforated divider 18 from a drying agent tablet 17 placed on base 16.
