摘要: A foldable electronic device includes a first base, a second base, a hinge, a brake, an object sensor, and a controller. The hinge pivotally connects the first base to the second base. The brake is disposed in the hinge. When the first base is expanded with respect to the second base, the object sensor senses whether an object is placed on the second base. When the object sensor senses that the object is placed on the second base, the object sensor sends out a sensed signal. The controller selectively switches on the brake in response to the sensed signal, so as to restrain a rotating angle formed by the first base and the second base.

The controller includes: a power determination section to determine whether an amount of remaining power that can be supplied from a power supply device to the electric motor has become equal to or less than a determined value; and a residual pressure cancellation section to cancel a residual pressure of a braking force by driving the electric motor in a direction opposite to a brake pressing direction such that an estimated value of the braking force obtained by the braking force estimation section becomes equal to or less than a set value, when the power determination section determines that the amount of remaining power has become equal to or less than the determined value.

摘要: A brake caliper is provided with a timing and retraction controller, a brake pad and a lock-connection comprising an engaging component and a locking component. The timing and retraction controller adjusts brake timing, eliminates parasitic brake losses and dampens out-of-plane vibration between the brake pad and rotor. The brake caliper includes a housing disposed over a brake rotor; first and second opposing brake pads extendably and retractably mounted on opposite sides of the caliper housing, brake pistons that extend and retract the brake pads into and out of frictional engagement with the rotor, and brake pad timing and retraction controllers disposed on opposite sides of the caliper housing. Each controller includes a Belleville spring or other resilient member with a short compression travel limited to between about 1.50 mm and 0.025 mm. The short stroke Belleville spring of each controller applies a hold-off force against the extension force of the brake pistons that slightly delays brake pad extension and slightly reduces brake pad clamping force against the rotor, thereby advantageously providing a front wheel braking bias when applied to the rear wheels of a vehicle. The restorative force applied by the short stroke Belleville forcefully and uniformly retracts the brake pad from the rotor, eliminating parasitic brake losses, and dampening out-of-plane vibration between the brake pad and rotor.

摘要: A torque transmitting device having a spring pack assembly, includes a first spring retainer ring abutting a hydraulically actuated piston, a second spring retainer ring abutting a piston housing, and a plurality of coiled springs biasing the first spring retainer ring apart from the second retainer ring, thereby urging the hydraulically actuated piston slideably apart from the fixed piston housing. A composite spring support ring is coaxially disposed between the first spring retainer ring and the second spring retainer ring. The spring support ring includes cylindrical walls defining cylindrical passageways configured to receive the coiled springs. Each of the cylindrical passageway includes include a diameter (d) that is sufficiently narrow such that the cylindrical wall completely surrounds the mid-portion of the coiled spring thus preventing the coiled spring from bending lengthwise, but sufficiently wide such that the coiled spring does not saw into the cylindrical walls.

摘要: A device for retracting a piston for a brake caliper is disclosed. The device is suitable for actuating at least one pad for brake calipers of the type comprising a body arranged astride of a brake disc having a rotation axis and two opposite friction surfaces perpendicular to the rotation axis. The piston is suitable for axially translating, thus bringing each pad in contact with force against a respective friction surface of the disc, generating a braking friction torque that is opposite to the rotation direction of the disc. The piston is slidably actuated within a respective seat formed in the caliper body, biased by the pressure of a brake fluid supplied by a supplying plant, in a manner that is controlled by a user to carry out a braking action.

摘要: A pad-and-spring assembly has a supporting plate supporting friction material. The supporting plate has a disc facing surface, a plate back, and facing thrust structure. The friction material has a radially inner edge, and a radially outer edge, radially opposite to the radially inner edge, and defining the outer radial dimension level of the friction material with its tangential extension on the disc facing surface. The disc facing surface has a free surface located radially inside with respect to the tangential extension of the radially outer edge of the friction and having a through opening edge delimiting a through opening. An elastic device of the assembly has a body having at least one connecting portion, connecting to the body of the brake caliper and a supporting portion, axially crossing the through opening to apply elastic biasing action directly in axial direction to the through opening edge.

摘要: Provided is an electric brake including: a brake mechanism configured to transmit, based on a braking request, a thrust force generated through drive of an electric motor to a piston configured to move brake pads to be pressed against a disc rotor; and an ECU for rear electric brake configured to control the drive of the electric motor, and to move, in a non-braking state, the piston to a predetermined clearance position at which a clearance between each of the brake pads and the disc rotor is a predetermined amount. The ECU for rear electric brake is configured to drive the electric motor so that a period from generation of the braking request to a start of the pressing of the disc rotor by the brake pads is a predetermined period regardless of a position of the piston at a time when the braking request is generated.

摘要: A brake device including a guide receiving area for connecting to a bearing component, forming a brake device bearing moveable in the direction of a first straight line. The brake device has a brake caliper with a first frictional surface and a first actuation surface, a pressing part being linearly guided along the first straight line relative to the brake caliper. The pressing part has a second frictional surface and a second actuation surface, and the brake device has a spreading element which interacts with the first actuation surface and the second actuation surface. The rotation of the spreading element changes the minimum distance between the frictional surfaces. A movement damping part coupled to the spreading element is designed to damp a translational movement of the spreading element relative to the bearing component in the guide receiving area parallel to the first straight line.
