摘要: An RFID label processing system for processing base webs comprises a conveyor device configured to feed a base web along a predetermined conveyor path. The base web includes a sequence of processing segments, with each processing segment forming an RFID label. The processing system further comprises at least two processing modules which are arranged adjacent to the conveyor path, wherein the processing modules are spaced apart by a variable distance. At least one sensor module is configured to determine the position of the processing segments on the base web along the predetermined conveyor path and to output a segment position signal, so that a positioning module that is coupled to at least one of the processing modules and the sensor module may be configured to displace the at least one of the processing modules along the predetermined conveyor path depending on the value of the segment position signal.

摘要: The invention concerns a security element (10) for RF identification, and a security document which is provided with such a security element (10). The security element has a flexible film body (104) into which are integrated an electronic circuit which is designed for the storage of security-relevant items of information and an RF antenna which is connected to the electronic circuit and which serves for contact-less communication of the electronic circuit with a test device. Permanently fixed on a surface of the flexible film body (104) is a first optically variable element (102) which at least region-wise covers the region of the flexible film body in which the electronic circuit is arranged, wherein permanently fixed on the other opposite surface of the flexible film body is a second optically variable element.

摘要: This invention provides a reference member for supporting and giving reference positions to principal components, i.e. a feed roller for transporting magnetic cards, a driver for driving said feed roller and a member for pressing magnetic cards against the feed roller. Further the reference member supports a card support for placing the magnetic card by one side of the support, the pressing member through a biasing member, and a magnetic head for information writing or reading. A limiting member for blocking the displacement of the magnetic head is composed as a part of the pressing member, and a lateral pressure plate and a counter-plate are provided to ensure stable transport of the magnetic card. In this manner error in information writing or reading are prevented by a simplified composition.

摘要: A magnetic detection device for use in a bank note discriminating apparatus is proposed. A magnetic pattern which has been already formed on each bank note by applying the magnetizable printing ink thereon is detected by a magnetic detecting head of the device. The device further includes a conveyer driven at a conveying speed of V.sub.1, and a positioning roller rotated at a circumferential speed of V.sub.2. According to this invention, the speed V.sub.2 is adjusted to be approximately equal to or only slightly higher than the speed V.sub.1. According to another feature of this invention, the detection face of the magnetic head is spaced from the opposing peripheral face of the positioning roller by a gap D which is greater than the thickness T of the bank notes to be handled. By the use of the device of this invention constructed and operated as aforementioned, the magnetic detecting head is prevented from picking up noise signals caused by impulsive force applied thereon by the impinging leading end of the inserted bank note or uneven compression force otherwise applied thereon by the bank note which is bent on or above the magnetic head when the speed V.sub.2 is appreciably different from the speed V.sub.1 to accelerate or decelerate the travelling speed of the bank note just above the magnetic head.

摘要: Apparatus for reading a plurality of apertured cards in sequence in response to a series of command signals includes a supply hopper for storing a vertical stack of cards. The apertures of the cards are located in a matrix of columns and rows. A solenoid-actuated plunger moves the bottom card from beneath the stack and into engagement with a card drive mechanism. The card drive mechanism includes a floating transport equipped with endless tracks for riding on top of cards passed from the bottom of the stack and exerting a substantially constant downward and forward force on the cards while continuously moving each card in sequence across an array of optical detectors in register with the columns on the cards. A line source of light is carried by the transport for illuminating a card along a line parallel to the rows of apertures on the card. As the detectors beneath the cards are illuminated by light passing through the apertures in the cards, binary electrical signals are generated, representative of the information on the cards.

摘要: A drumless paper transporter carries a sheet of paper on a relatively narrow hub located near one end of the sheet. A plurality of canted idler rollers that surround the periphery of the hub dynamically adjust the sheet against a reference edge as the hub rotates. A plurality of guards surround the sheet at least in the region between adjacent idler wheels. In a preferred form, a flexible brush located interior to the path of rotation of the sheet has a free edge opposed by a fixed abutment member located exterior to the path to form a converging wall guide that accurately controls the radial position of the sheet. Also, a stripper blade reliably removes the paper from the hub during continuous operations by pivoting an edge interior to the path of rotation to direct the approaching sheet to an exit slot.

摘要: A credit card utilization system. A plurality of credit cards are provided. Each credit card bears an elongate strip of sound recording material including a recorded code word known only to the owner of the card. A plurality of card reading devices for reproducing the code word recorded on said strip are also provided. The card reading devices each include a housing, an inlet slot in a first wall of the housing for receiving a credit card to be read, an outlet slot in a second wall of the housing for discharging a credit card, rotatable wheels within the housing and positioned such that, on rotation of the wheels, the card is transported in a straight path through the housing. The card reading device also includes sound reproducing means for reproducing the code word recorded on the strip which includes a sound reproducing head moveably mounted within the housing and moveable between a first position in which the head is spaced from the straight path and a second position in which the head is in sound reproducing association with the strip for reproducing the recorded code word. A trigger member in the device is actuated by motion of the card along the straight path and moves the sound reproducing head from the first position to the second position for reproducing the code word recorded on the strip. The device also includes listening means to permit an operator of the device to listen to the reproduced code word for comparison with a code word given orally by the card owner.
