摘要: A method performed by a video encoder for encoding a current picture belonging to a temporal level identified by a temporal_id. The method includes determining a Reference Picture Set (RPS) for the current picture indicating reference pictures that are kept in a decoded picture buffer (DPB) when decoding the current picture, and when the current picture is a temporal switching point. The method further comprises operating to ensure that the RPS of the current picture includes no picture having a temporal_id greater than or equal to the temporal_id of the current picture.

摘要: Hybrid video decoder supporting intermediate view synthesis of an intermediate view video from a first- and a second-view video which are predictively coded into a multi-view data signal with frames of the second-view video being spatially subdivided into sub-regions and the multi-view data signal having a prediction mode is provided, having: an extractor configured to respectively extract, from the multi-view data signal, for sub-regions of the frames of the second-view video, a disparity vector and a prediction residual; a predictive reconstructor configured to reconstruct the sub-regions of the frames of the second-view video, by generating a prediction from a reconstructed version of a portion of frames of the first-view video using the disparity vectors and a prediction residual for the respective sub-regions; and an intermediate view synthesizer configured to reconstruct first portions of the intermediate view video.

摘要: In one example, a segment of media content, a predefined maximum bitrate, and a predefined maximum quality measure may be received. K-NN having similar bitrate and quality data to the segment of media content may be determined using a trained k-nearest neighbor model. The K-NN are determined from a training set of media content segments. Further, at least one content adaptive encoding parameter for the segment of media content may be determined within the predefined maximum bitrate and the predefined maximum quality measure using the determined k-nearest neighbor. The at least one content adaptive encoding parameter is inputted to an encoder to encode the segment of media content.

摘要: Example methods and apparatus for adaptive video transmission based on channel capacity are disclosed. A first wireless display source device for adaptive video transmission based on channel capacity includes a video bit rate determiner, a comparer and a video bit rate setter. The video bit rate determiner is to determine a collective video bit rate based on a current number of wireless display connections in a peer-to-peer (P2P) group multiplied by a current video bit rate of the first wireless display source device. The P2P group includes a second wireless display source device in proximity to the first wireless display source device. The comparer is to compare the collective video bit rate to a wireless display capacity in proximity to the first wireless display source device. The video bit rate setter is to set the current video bit rate of the first wireless display source device to a first adjusted video bit rate value in response to the comparer determining that the collective video bit rate is greater than the wireless display capacity, and to set the current video bit rate of the first wireless display source device to a second adjusted video bit rate value in response to the comparer determining that the collective video bit rate is not greater than the wireless display capacity.

摘要: A sequence of point clouds is encoded as a video by an encoder and transmitted to a decoder which retrieves the sequence of point clouds. Visible points of a point cloud are iteratively projected on projection maps according to at least two centers of projection, to determine a patch data item lists. One of the centers of projection is selected and corresponding image patches are generated and packed into a picture. Pictures and associated patch data item list are encoded in a stream. The decoding method decodes pictures and associated patch data item lists. Pixels of image patches comprised in pictures are un-projected according to data stored in associated patches. The methods have the advantage of encoding every point of point clouds in a manner avoiding artifacts and allowing decoding at video frame rate.

摘要: Adaptive video processing for a target display panel may be implemented in or by a server/encoding pipeline. The adaptive video processing methods may obtain and take into account video content and display panel-specific information including display characteristics and environmental conditions (e.g., ambient lighting and viewer location) when processing and encoding video content to be streamed to the target display panel in an ambient setting or environment. The server-side adaptive video processing methods may use this information to adjust one or more video processing functions as applied to the video data to generate video content in the color gamut and dynamic range of the target display panel that is adapted to the display panel characteristics and ambient viewing conditions.
