Abstract: A method of transmitting system information in a mobile communications network, the network comprising a base station operable to provide a cell to communicate wirelessly with a plurality of mobile terminals and a mobile terminal of the plurality of mobile terminals, the mobile terminal being operable to communicate with the base station. The method comprises periodically transmitting essential system information “ESI” to the plurality of mobile terminals, the ESI comprising system information for using the cell provided by the base station; transmitting additional system information “ASI” to the mobile terminal, the ASI comprising system information for using one or more services provided by the cell. In the event that it is determined that the base station is overloaded, the method further comprises transmitting a service notification that the cell is currently unable to provide the one or more services.

Abstract: A control method for data transmission and a terminal are provided. The control method for data transmission includes: determining, when a terminal has established a user-plane bearer link with a network and before transmitting data to be transmitted, whether or not a destination address of the data to be transmitted is recorded in a pre-created address whitelist; acquiring, if the destination address of the data to be transmitted is not recorded in the address whitelist, an application identifier corresponding to the data to be transmitted, and conducting access control decision based on the application identifier to obtain a decision result; and transmitting, when the decision result indicates that transmission of the data to be transmitted is permitted, the data to be transmitted through the user-plane bearer link.

Abstract: A management method is described, the management method implemented by a core network entry device. The method comprises, for at least one terminal connected to the mobile access network via an access point, following the receipt of an NAS request from the terminal, detecting whether a contention period is associated with this terminal. If not, a contention period to be applied for sending NAS requests to the network core is associated with and transmitted to the terminal. If a contention time is associated with the terminal and has not been respected by the terminal a temporary identifier allocated to the terminal for communicating with the network core is sent to the terminal via the access point, and a control message comprising at least a part of the temporary identifier is sent to the access point, the control message requiring blocking by the access point of all or part of the requests sent by a terminal which contains at least one part of the temporary identifier.

Abstract: This application provides example methods and apparatuses for determining class information. One example method includes sending, by a security detection function network element, a subscription data collection event to a mobility management network element, where the subscription data collection event includes a collection range and a reporting condition. The security detection function network element can then receive a data collection service response message from the mobility management network element, where the data collection service response message includes first class information and first traffic data corresponding to the first class information, and where the first traffic data meets the reporting condition. The security detection function network element can then determine abnormal class information based on the first traffic data. The security detection function network element can then send the abnormal class information to a policy control network element.

A method performed by an access network entity in a wireless communication system includes receiving, from a terminal in the wireless communication system, a first message including first information for identifying an AMF, the first information including an AMF set identifier and an AMF identifier; selecting an AMF set based on the AMF set identifier; selecting an AMF from the selected AMF set; and transmitting, to the terminal, a second message as a response to the first message. The AMF set includes a plurality of AMFs based on network slices the AMFs each support, and the AMF set identifier is an identifier of the AMF set, and the AMF identifier is an identifier of an AMF within the AMF set.
