摘要: A workpiece processing method includes holding a workpiece unit on a holding table and forming a division start point. The workpiece unit has a workpiece having a front side and a back side, and an additional member formed on the back side of the workpiece. The additional member is different in material from the workpiece. The workpiece unit is held on the holding table with the additional member opposed to the holding table. The division start point is formed by applying a laser beam to the front side of the workpiece with the focal point of the laser beam set inside the workpiece. The laser beam forms a modified layer inside the workpiece and simultaneously forming a division start point inside the additional member due to the leakage of the laser beam from the focal point toward the back side of the workpiece.

摘要: A computer numerically controlled machine may include a movable head configured to deliver electromagnetic energy to a part of a working area in which the movable head may be commanded to cause delivery of the electromagnetic energy. The interior space may be defined by a housing and may include an openable barrier that attenuates transmission of light between the interior space and an exterior of the computer numerically controlled machine when the openable barrier is in a closed position. The computer numerically controlled machine may include an interlock that prevents emission of the electromagnetic energy when detecting that the openable barrier is not in the closed position. The commanding may result in the computer numerically controlled machine executing operations of a motion plan for causing movement of the movable head to deliver the electromagnetic energy to effect a change in a material at least partially contained within the interior space.

摘要: A method of processing by controlling one or more beam characteristics of an optical beam may include: launching the optical beam into a first length of fiber having a first refractive-index profile (RIP); coupling the optical beam from the first length of fiber into a second length of fiber having a second RIP and one or more confinement regions; modifying the one or more beam characteristics of the optical beam in the first length of fiber, in the second length of fiber, or in the first and second lengths of fiber; confining the modified one or more beam characteristics of the optical beam within the one or more confinement regions of the second length of fiber; and/or generating an output beam, having the modified one or more beam characteristics of the optical beam, from the second length of fiber. The first RIP may differ from the second RIP.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing blanks from paper, cardboard, paperboard, corrugated cardboard, or plastic. The method according to the invention does not process panels or sheets into blanks in a multistage process but rather produces the blanks directly from the material web i.e. the corrugated cardboard web or from the paper, paperboard, plastic or cardboard web. The machining process is scalable. Advantageously, the method according to the invention can be adjusted in terms of the required production or packaging quantity by the juxtaposition of additional processing centers in terms of production speed and quantity.
