    摘要: A link mechanism for driving a slide in a machine press has a pivot pin with an adjustable position for varying the die height and the stroke length of the slide. A first link of the link mechanism is connected to a sliding member which is restricted to vertical movement in a groove. Another end of the first link is pivotally connected to a second link and a third link. Another end of the second link is pivotally connected to the pivot pin. Another end of the third link is connected to a plunger which is connected to the slide. The plunger is movably held in the machine press and restricted to vertical movement. The up and down motion of the sliding member is translated through the first link, second link, and third link into the up and down movement of the plunger and the slide.

Very large transmission ratios are, according to the present invention, obtained by interruption of the axis of rotation (2) and insertion of an only slightly displaced force transmission axis (4). The force transmission axis (4) can be continuously displaced to both sides of the axis of rotation (2) by means of positioning facilities, preferable an adjusting screw (5) or two wedges. This way variable force generation is obtained with a widely variable range of transmission ratio.The invention can be employed e.g. for the manufacture and operation of presses, clamping, bending and tension devices.

A feeder mechanism has first and second hoppers for storing the first and second fastener members therein and first and second pickup means movable rectilinearly for feeding the first and second fastener members out of the first and second hoppers into the first and second pocket mechanisms, respectively.

The nut and collar provide the initial adjustment between tool sections operated by the ram and base while the fluid operated means provides an overload release in the event excessive pressure is applied by the ram.
