    摘要: A pelletizing machine for forming pellets from extruded material includes an extruder having at least one exit port and a body defining a cutting chamber through which high-temperature liquid flows, flooding the cutting chamber. The exit port of the extruder opens into the cutting chamber, which includes a cutting section defining a flow path for liquid through the cutting section. A cutter in the cutting section of the cutting chamber is mounted for rotation about an axis generally perpendicular to the first direction and disposed for cutting the extruded material exiting the exit port into the pellets. The axis of rotation of the cutter is parallel to or coincident with the flow path of the cutting section. A method for forming pellets of thermoplastic material with a foaming agent is also disclosed.

    摘要: An apparatus for boring stoma wafers is provided, which comprises a base and a cutter, and enables even a user himself to easily make in a stoma wafer a substantially elliptic hole having a beautiful inner circumference. The base comprises an upper base member on which a stoma wafer is placed so that the stoma wafer can be temporarily fixed thereon, and a lower base member supporting the upper base member so that the upper base member can be moved freely. After a stoma wafer in which a circular hole has been made by the cutter is slid with the upper base member, a circular hole is bored again by the cutter in a position which is staggered from the center of the initially-formed circular hole, and this enables a non-circular hole comprising not less than two staggered circular holes to be made in the stoma wafer.

The cutting blade can comprise a rotatable wheel having a sharpened outer edge and the cogged wheel can have a series of usage indicators printed on one surface thereof and the worm gear can includes a lever arm wherein the traversal of the worm gear along the length of the printed sensed image results in the engagement of the lever arm with the cogged wheel print indicator so as to rotate the cogged wheel print indicator so that it maintains a current indication of the number of images printed out on the print media. The camera can further comprise a pawl mechanism which interacts with the coggs of the cogged wheel print indicator in the form of a rachet and pawl mechanism and the lever arm can includes a flexible portion for engagement with the cogged wheel print indicator.

    摘要: A system for spreading and severing material utilizing a roller movable over a lower substrate and carrying with it a loop of material for spreading without tension. One or two plies are spread as a function of roller travel prior to severing from a source. If two plies are spread, severing of the loop occurs at the roller by an element movable with the roller. A second severing element is located at one end of the substrate to separate material from the source. A top platen carries a removable substrate having thereon multiple patterns. The patterns are defined by a resistance wire having thermal expansion joints and carried by stand-off insulators mounted on the removable substrate. When the wires are brought into contact with the material on the lower substrate, severing occurs. Multiple cycles of spreading and severing may occur prior to removal of the lower substrate.

    摘要: Dual, series ball screw and ball nut array for reciprocating a cable and a cutting mechanism utilizing the array. The first ball screw is stationary while the second is moveable, spaced apart and axially aligned with the first ball screw. Ball nuts are rotatably carried on each ball screw and the ball nuts are connected as by a tube. A drive means such as an hydraulic piston activator reciprocates the movable ball screw, thereby translating and rotating the second ball nut likewise the ball nut carried on the stationary ball screw. A pulley on either ball nut or on the connecting tube activates a cable connected thereto. A cutter connected to the cable is thereby reciprocated for slicing action.

    摘要: A device for eliminating filamentary winders from the surface of a rotating working roller of the type commonly utilized in the textile industry. A runner carrying a cutting means is provided which moves traversely over the surface of the working roller and parallel to its axis. The runner may be driven by either a guide groove formed in the surface of the working roller or a separate reverse-winding roller which is linked to the working roller. The cutting means may comprise a wedge-shaped blade edge facing the running direction of the working roller which has a blunted projecting portion which extends slightly below the surface of the working roller and which initially engages any winder encountered thereon. In addition an electrical means for detecting, counting and/or allocating winders to discrete length sections of the working roller may be provided which is operated by the cutting means. An air nozzle mounted adjacent to the cutting means is also provided which generates an aimed flow of air which removes the cut winders from the surface of the working roller in the direction of the running-off thread.
