Abstract:
A method for operating an elastically mounted forming machine which is path-bound or force-dependent, in which method a working stroke of a ram device operatively connected to the drive is initiated by means of a drive, and a predefined forming process is carried out on a workpiece by moving the ram device during said working stroke, in particular due to the interaction of an upper tool located on the ram device with a lower tool located on a tool table, wherein the inertial forces and/or moments of inertia occurring during operation owing to the initiation of the working stroke and/or owing to an imbalance in the drive are at least partially compensated. The method, wherein at least one kinematic variable (s(t),v(t),a(t)) of a rigid body motion of the elastically mounted forming machine is detected during the operation thereof, wherein the time at which the working stroke is initiated is adapted to an instantaneous phase position of the at least one kinematic variable (s(t),v(t),a(t)) of the rigid body motion in order to generate inertial forces and/or moments of inertia so as to counteract the rigid body motion of the forming machine.
Abstract:
In a method and an apparatus for reducing the cutting impact in a hydraulically-driven precision blanking press, the force necessary to reduce the cutting impact as a counterforce is generated directly in the pressure chamber of the drive piston such that the counterforce acts directly on the cutting punch and so that the design of the press can be simplified, costs can be reduced, no additional external hydraulic-mechanical means for reducing the cutting impact are needed, and so that the loads on the press and the die can be reduced.
Abstract:
A suspension mechanism is formed as a liquid-tight structure by fitting the bottom end of a female screw member using a liquid-tight sealing member provided between a slider and a retainer and by covering the retainer with the liquid-tight sealing member. A highly-pressurized liquid is initially supplied to each clearance formed between any components such as liquid-tight sealing member, female screw member, male screw member and retainer through a liquid supply passage formed through the liquid-tight sealing member. The highly-pressurized liquid is supplied by an amount flows out through the screwing portions between the male and female screw members to maintain the pressure of liquid within the liquid-tight structure in a predetermined range.
Abstract:
In a punching tool having a punch body (23), a punch driver (33) integral with the punch body, a punch head (45) disposed over the punch driver and struck by a striker (59), a punch guide (15) for guiding the punch body, a stripper plate (17) disposed under the punch guide, and a stripping spring (51) interposed between the punch guide (15) and the punch driver (33), the punching tool further includes a first damping member (39) interposed between the punch guide (15) and the punch driver (33) so as to be elastically deformable within a predetermined deflection value. Owing to the presence of the first damping member (39), it is possible to reduce noise generated when the punch body (23) is returned upward by a strong urging force of the stripping spring (51) after work has been punched, thus reducing overall noise generated during punching processing.
Abstract:
Provided is a press apparatus which ensures high production efficiency and has less chances of breakdown. Specifically, the press apparatus has a base placed on a floor, and a platform arranged over the base to face the base and move up and down. A lower die, on which a steel plate is to be placed, is fixed to the base. An upper die is fixed to the platform to press the plate against the lower die and turn it into an initially formed product through a downward movement of the platform, and to pressure-hold the initially formed product with the lower die. A machining die is supported on the platform to move up and down to machine the initially formed product and form a final product by moving down while pressure-holding the initially formed product.
Abstract:
An engineered stone production plant includes a vacuum vibration press (“VVP”) suspended above the ground, so that a conveyor belt and/or returning empty trays or molds from a curing oven to a mixing station can pass beneath the VVP. Rigid, self-supporting trays or molds can convey slabs through the plant on rollers, which allow independent horizontal movement of the slabs during spreading and coloring/veining of the slab mixture. Embodiments include air levitation for transporting slabs into and out of the VVP. The curing oven can be air-heated. The pressing plate can be sealed with the tray or mold by walls that extend downwardly from the press plate over a flexible covering sheet, by a gasket surrounding the pressing plate, or by an angle strip surrounding the slab mixture. In embodiments, the slab size can be changed by exchanging elastomeric mold walls, or by exchanging molds and pressing platens.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing engineered stone slabs provides slabs that are equal or superior in appearance and physical properties to slabs manufactured using a conventional Breton press, while weighing less, costing less to manufacture, providing shorter press cycle times, requiring less resin, and consuming less energy. In addition to providing a vibration device above the slab, the press also includes a second vibration device below the slab, which replaces the massive inertial base of a Breton press. The press can be completely enclosed within a vacuum chamber, and vibrationally isolated from surrounding structures. In embodiments, volume reduction blocks reduce the volume to be evacuated. Embodiments use screw jacks and springs or air bags to provide controlled pressing force and precisely uniform slab thickness. Slabs can be inserted and removed on a conveyor belt, or in rigid, self-supporting trays or molds on rollers.

A rotary press wherein the dosage drive and the compression roller drive have identical installation means, the stand has an upper and a lower accommodation platform and the accommodation platforms have identical accommodation means for the installation means on the sides facing each other, which are in a coincident arrangement with respect to each other.
Abstract:
A punch for a rotary press comprises a shaft with a punch tip at a first end of the shaft and a punch head at the second end of the shaft. The punch head further comprises a mirror surface and a cylindrical surface, as well as intermediate region between the mirror surface and cylindrical surface. The mirror surface defining a central recess surrounded by an annular mirror surface section.
