Additional thrust fuel efficiency is provided for a gas turbine system that includes a first member(s) (e.g., a support for a rotating main shaft) that is attached to a stationary casing. The rotating main shaft is attached to the first member through a bearing. A second member is associated with a rotating member, such as a motor or other rotating part of the main or other shaft. The first member has a flow path in it for the liquid (e.g. water and/or other volatile liquid) and has an opening (nozzle) for discharging the liquid. The second member has a liquid impinging member for generating a liquid spray, droplet, mist optimally, which vaporizes with hot combustion gases that flow exteriorly along the main shaft. In this form vaporization is quick and is less erosive. The volume of thrust gases is increased advantageously and likewise engine boost increases.

A chemical looping combustion (CLC) process for sour gas combustion is integrated with a gas turbine combined cycle and a steam generation unit, and is configured to provide in-situ removal of H2S from the sour gas fuel by reacting the H2S with a oxygen carrier at a location within the fuel reactor of the CLC unit. The process is also configured such that oxygen-rich exhaust gases from the gas turbine combined cycle is used to feed the air reactor of the CLC unit and re-oxidize oxygen carriers for recirculation in the CLC unit.

An object of the present invention is to spray water uniformly to intake air even during partial operation. An intake-air cooling device is disposed on a rear-stage side of a pre-filter disposed on an intake-air inlet side of an intake-air duct for guiding intake air taken in from an intake-air inlet to a compressor, for cooling the intake air by spraying water to the intake air. The intake-air cooling device includes a plurality of nozzles configured to spray the water to the intake air, a plurality of water conduit pipes including the plurality of nozzles arranged in an axial direction of the water conduit pipes, and a plurality of supply pumps configured to supply the water to corresponding one of the plurality of water conduit pipes. Each of the plurality of water conduit pipes is an endless member which has a different perimeter.

A gas turbine plant includes a gas turbine having a compressor, a combustion chamber and an expander; and a water-steam circuit which is thermally connected to the gas turbine such that during the operation of the gas turbine, waste gas drawn off therefrom transfers heat to the water-steam circuit in order to generate steam. The water-steam circuit is further thermally connected to a heat accumulator which in turn is thermally connected to a container for storing water. The container is fluidically coupled to the gas turbine such that water can be supplied from the container to the gas turbine during the operation of the latter in order to increase output.
