摘要: A spherical camera includes two oppositely-oriented lenses rigidly secured by a unibody dual-lens mount. The unibody dual-lens mount includes two lens barrel that are laterally offset from each other. Each lens barrel secures a lens and has a top, a midsection and a bottom along its axial length, where the midsection is located between the top and the bottom. A first base portion extends radially outward from the bottom of a first lens barrel to join the midsection of a second lens barrel. A second base portion extends radially outward from a bottom of the second lens barrel to join a midsection of the first lens barrel. The base portions may be approximately perpendicular to central axes of the lens barrels. Additionally, the first lens barrel can be approximately parallel to the second lens barrel, and the first base portion can be approximately parallel to the second base portion.

摘要: A device may include a laser configured to rotate about an azimuth axis of the device and an elevation axis of the device. The device may also include a plurality of cameras configured to rotate about the azimuth axis and fixed with respect to the elevation axis. The cameras may be configured to have a collective field-of-view that includes a collective elevation field-of-view and a collective azimuth field-of-view. The device may also include a control system configured to direct the laser to rotate about the azimuth axis and the elevation axis such that the laser is configured to scan a setting. The control system may also be configured to direct the cameras to each begin capturing an image of the setting at substantially the same time.

An image processing apparatus includes an image acquisition unit that acquires first and second images respectively capturing surrounding areas of an automobile including first and second areas, an outline detector that performs outline detection on the first and second images and generates first and second outlines respectively, a determiner that determines whether the first and second outlines each include an outline of the same object, and a area selector that performs area setting and perspective conversion on the first or second image when the first and second outlines are determined to include an outline of the same object, so that in a combined image generated by combining at least the first and second images, the first and second outlines are continuous at the same object.

摘要: An image capture system including two imaging systems of the same structure each having a wide-angle lens, which includes a front group, a reflection surface, and a rear group arranged in order from an object side, has a field angle larger than 180 degrees, and bends an optical axis of the front group toward the rear group by the reflection surface, and an imaging sensor, obtains an image in a solid angle of 4π radian by combining images imaged by the imaging systems. Each of the two wide-angle lenses includes the reflection surface between the front group and the rear group, the reflection surfaces are made to be common to the two imaging systems. This reduces an interval between lenses nearest to the object side in the front groups of the two wide-angle lenses, thereby reducing a distance between maximum field angles of the two wide-angle lenses.

In some examples, an imaging system includes a front camera having a first field-of-view (FOV) in a first direction and an optical axis that extends through the first FOV, a back camera having an optical axis that extends through the first FOV, a plurality of side cameras disposed between the front camera and the back camera, a back light re-directing reflective mirror component disposed between the back camera and plurality of side cameras, the back light re-directing reflective mirror component further disposed perpendicular to the optical axis of the back camera, and a plurality of side light re-directing reflective mirror components, each of the plurality of side cameras positioned to receive light re-directed reflected from one of the plurality of light redirecting reflective mirror components.

摘要: A bus interface/camera control interface connects a processor and a plurality of imaging units. A control data pass-through logic exchanges data between the bus interface/camera control interface and the plurality of imaging units. A pass-through mask register includes: a write register used to specify, of the plurality of imaging units, one or more imaging units to be selected so as to selectively supply write data to the one or more imaging units; and a read register used to specify, of the plurality of imaging units, a single imaging unit to be selected so as to selectively receive read data from the single imaging unit. The control data pass-through logic can use the pass-through mask register to switch between input and output operations.
