摘要: An aerial image display device is capable of changing a depth of a virtual image viewed by an observer without changing a distance between at least one display device and an optical element forming the virtual image. The aerial image display device includes a display device, optical elements, and a reflecting member. The optical elements are installed corresponding to different display regions of a display surface of the display device and sequentially arranged along the display surface in an observation direction of an observer. The optical element is installed obliquely with an angle of about 45° in a −X direction when viewed from the display surface of the display device. The optical element is installed obliquely with an angle of about 45° in an X direction when viewed from the display surface of the display device.

摘要: A stiffening strip at selected edges of a screen may enable the use and mounting of a high-elastic modulus substrate screen material. Such screen materials may be engineered to provide polarization-preserving characteristics, and be applied to or part of the high-elastic modulus substrate. Furthermore, the stiffening strip may enable the use of screen vibration techniques to reduce speckle in display applications that use projection screens, particularly those display applications using illumination sources prone to speckle such as laser-based projection. The screen vibration may be provided by a vibrating device attached to the stiffening strip.

摘要: A display system configured to provide projection mapped augmentation of mechanically animated objects. These mechanically animated objects may take the form of a screen assembly with a projection surface, and a screen actuator may be included in the display system that is operated by a controller to move, to expand, or other otherwise operate the screen assembly so as to modify or morph the projection surface to move and/or change its shape and/or size. Hence, the screen assembly is animated. The display system further includes a projector operated by the controller, in a synchronized manner with the screen actuator, to project content onto the projection surface as it is moved and/or has its shape and/or size changed over time. The projected content is mapped to the various states and movement of the projection surface to avoid blow-by and to suit the changes of the projection surface.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for projecting a light field. One light field projection system includes a screen and a projection unit. On the screen, there is a plurality of convex reflective elements arranged in a two-dimensional array. The projection unit has a light source. The projection unit also has a modulator to modulate light from the light source. The projection unit further has one or more movable mirrored elements to reflect light from the light source toward the screen to sequentially scan the plurality of convex reflective elements. The projection unit also has a control system that determines a light modulation scheme used by the modulator. The light modulation scheme provides that the light reflected from the light source toward the screen to sequentially scan the plurality of convex reflective elements forms a light field that is concurrently viewable from a plurality of perspectives.

摘要: Disclosed herein are materials and methods used to form a three dimensional (3D) article having a printed layer thereon. The 3D articles are capable of displaying rear projected images, effectively as a 3D “screen” for displaying an image or a movie. The 3D articles are used as standalone articles or as a portion of an animatronic figure. The articles are made by forming a substantially planar thermoformable laminate including a rear projection screen material, printing and curing a radiation curable ink onto one or both sides of the laminate, and thermoforming to impart a shape to the laminate.

The first micro-deflector is configured to redirect the original image into a first perspective image and a second perspective image. A perspective direction of the first perspective image differs from a perspective direction of the second perspective image.

摘要: The present invention relates to a curved ceiling structure, the ceiling structure characterized by having a curved shell shape over the seats of a theater while exposing the screen. Therefore, according to the present invention, structural continuity with the screen curved in horizontal and vertical axes can be ensured, and by ensuring design integrity with the screen curved in horizontal and vertical axes, a sense of immersion can be imparted to an audience and an enhanced life-like sensation can be delivered thereto.
