Abstract: Provided is a fraud detection rule updating method enabling the updating of rules that serve as the basis for detecting malicious frames as necessary in an on-board network system. In an on-board network system equipped with multiple electronic control units (ECUs) that communicate via buses and fraud detecting ECUs that determine, based on fraud detection rules, whether messages transmitted on the buses conform to the rules, a fraud detection rule updating method is used in which delivery data including updated fraud detection rules is received from a server external to the on-board network system, and if a certain update condition is satisfied, the fraud detection rules in a fraud detecting ECU are updated to the updated fraud detection rules.

Abstract: An information communication method obtains information from a subject using a terminal device that includes an image sensor having a plurality of exposure lines. The method includes setting an exposure time of the image sensor so that a bright line corresponding to each of the plurality of exposure lines included in the image sensor appears according to a change in luminance of the subject. The method also includes obtaining a bright line image including a plurality of bright lines, and obtaining identification information of the subject. In obtaining of the bright line image, an exposure time of each of the plurality of exposure lines partially overlaps with an exposure time of an adjacent one of the plurality of exposure lines. A pattern of a change in luminance of the subject is the same as a pattern of a change in luminance of another adjacent subject.

Abstract: A communication system is provided that includes a network node, a first terminal which supports an EVS (Enhanced Voice Service) codec, and a second terminal. The EVS codec supports an AMR-WB (Adaptive Multi Rate Wideband) codec compatible mode and an AMR-WB codec non-compatible mode, the AMR-WB codec having a dedicated payload format, where the AMR-WB codec compatible mode is compatible with an AMR-WB codec and the AMR-WB codec non-compatible mode is non-compatible with the AMR-WB codec. The first terminal and the second terminal negotiate the AMR-WB codec non-compatible mode in a session negotiation to select the AMR-WB codec non-compatible mode to be used for the communication between the first terminal and the second terminal when the communication starts.

Abstract: A processing method for a processing apparatus is disclosed. The processing method causes a computer of the processing apparatus to perform a process. The process includes detecting a position and a sleep state of a passenger inside a vehicle on a basis of information indicating a state of space including seats of the vehicle. The information is obtained from a sensor provided inside the vehicle. The process also includes notifying an operator of the vehicle of the detected position and the detected sleep state of the passenger. Further, the process also includes transmitting, upon detecting an operation, the operation being performed by the operator of the vehicle in response to the notifying, for controlling a device near the detected position of the passenger, a control command corresponding to the operation to the device.

Abstract: An area reproduction method includes converting a sound pressure distribution at each frequency of a reproduced sound from a sound pressure distribution in a frequency domain into a sound pressure distribution in a spatial frequency domain, the reproduced sound being realized on a control line including a reproduction line in which sound waves emitted from a speaker array including a plurality of speakers arranged intensify with each other and a non-reproduction line in which the sound waves weaken with each other; determining a spatial frequency for use in adjustment of the reproduced sound, in the sound pressure distribution in the spatial frequency domain, based on a positional relationship between the speaker array and the control line; and adjusting a sound pressure of the reproduced sound which is to be output by each of the plurality of speakers using the determined spatial frequency.
