摘要： A color photographic material for the dye diffusion transfer process contains a temporary barrier layer that is applied from organic solution and consists of a mixture of(a) 40 to 95% by weight of a copolymer of 40 to 80% by weight of monomer I (vinylidene chloride, dimethyl butadiene or dichlorobutadiene) 18 to 50% by weight of monomer II ((meth)acrylonitrile or alkyl (meth)acrylate) and 2 to 10% by weight of monomer III (olefinically unsaturated copolymerizable mono or dicarboxylic acids, sulfonic acids or phosphonic acids) and(b) 5 to 60% by weight of a homopolymer of alkyl acrylate, hydroxyalkyl acrylate, N-alkyl acrylamide, N-hydroxyalkyl acrylamide vinyl acetate, or polycarbonate or cellulose acetate, or a copolymer of 80 to 99% by weight of alkyl or hydroxyalkyl acrylate and 1 to 20% by weight of a copolymerizable acid.

摘要： A digital circuit is described for controlling functions of a camera wherein the circuit is powered by a potential source which is connected to the circuit through a relay actuated switch. The circuit employs a plurality of D-flip flops to regulate functions such as film transport and opening and closing of the camera shutter as a function of the light intensity of the scene being photographed. A reset signal generator is used to provide stable and reliable control over the starting condition of the flip flops and render the circuit insensitive to voltage transients as may occur from contact bounce effects at the relay actuated switch. The reset signal generator employs an inverter delay chain to provide like reset pulses when such contact bounce occurs. Various control features are described.

摘要： Apparatus for positioning sheet-like or strip-shaped originals in a photographic copying machine has a horizontal table with a large window for transmission of copying light and a removable or exchangeable holder on the table. The holder has a lower section which rests on the table and has a first opening in register with the window, an upper section one marginal portion of which is pivoted to the corresponding marginal portion of the lower section, which is movable to and from an operative position of overlap with the lower section and which has a second opening in register with the first opening when the upper section assumes its operative position, and an elastic hold-down device which is affixed to the upper side of the lower section and has an open-sided cutout in register with the first opening. An original is insertable between the hold-down device and the lower section so that a selected portion of the original registers with the cutout and the hold-down device biases three sides of such selected portion against the upper side of the lower section. The upper section has an L-shaped elastic biasing element one leg of which extends downwardly through the second opening and along the open side of the cutout to urge the remaining side of the selected portion of a properly inserted original against the lower section as soon as the upper section is moved to its operative position. The upper section can carry additional biasing elements which bear against the hold-down device along the remaining two closed sides of the cutout to urge the respective sides of the selected portion of the original against the lower section as soon as the upper section assumes its operative position.

摘要： A motion-picture film cassette has a pay-out spool and a take-up spool mounted coaxially, but at opposite sides of a divider wall. Film travels in one direction through the wall from the pay-out spool to the take-up spool. An anti-reversing device is provided to prevent reverse movement of the film and/or spools; it includes an annulus of holes in the wall, surrounding the axis of the spools, and a resiliently yieldable finger projecting from that surface of the take-up spool which faces the wall. The finger ratchets over the holes when the take-up spool turns in take-up direction but engages in a respective one of the holes to block reverse movement when the take-up spool attempts to turn in the opposite direction.

摘要： A copying machine has plural infeed capabilities, being provided for example with plural sheet supply units supplying sheets of different respective types or formats. A control panel is provided with a plurality of operator-activated dual-purpose select-and-start switches. When the operator activates one of these switches, this both selects the respective infeed capability and also commands initiation of copying, so that the operator need not thereafter press a second switch merely to initiate copying. The select-and-start switches are pushbutton switches the pushbuttons of which are translucent and provided, behind them, with respective signal lamps. During a copying operation, the signal lamp behind the one of the select-and-start switches which commanded copying lights up, to indicate that copying is occurring. If one of the supply units is exhausted, the respective signal lamp begins to blink, thereby indicating this to the operator. If the machine additionally has more than one mode of copying operation, e.g., a shifting optics scanning a stationary original and a transport unit transporting an original past a stationary optics, certain of the select-and-start switches can be additionally associated with these modes of copying operation, so that the user will not be able to select an infeed capability not appropriate for the selected mode of copying operation.
