    Abstract: A window assembly for a vehicle includes a window panel that has an electrically conductive trace established at a surface of the window panel. The electrically conductive trace includes a single continuous electrically conductive trace that has a positive end for electrically connecting to a positive terminal and a negative end for electrically connecting to a negative terminal. The electrically conductive trace includes a plurality of spaced apart trace segments disposed across the surface of the window panel and a plurality of connecting trace segments that electrically connect adjacent ends of adjacent trace segments, with each connecting trace segment electrically connecting to adjacent ends of only two adjacent trace segments. An electrical connector is connected to the positive and negative terminals at the window panel to provide electrical power to the electrically conductive trace. The provided electrical power may be from a 48 volt power supply of the vehicle.

    Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head movably disposed at a movable portion that is movable relative to a non-movable portion configured for attachment at a vehicle. The mirror head includes a mirror casing and a mirror reflective element fixedly attached at an attachment portion and fixed relative to the mirror casing. The mirror reflective element moves in tandem with movement of the mirror head relative to the exterior portion of the vehicle. A first electrically-operated actuator has an axis of rotation when operated that moves the movable portion relative to the non-movable portion about a first axis, and a second electrically-operated actuator has an axis of rotation when operated that moves the mirror head relative to the movable portion about a second axis. The axis of rotation of the first electrically-operated actuator is non-orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the second electrically-operated actuator.

    Abstract: A vehicular camera module configured to be disposed at an in-cabin side of a windshield of a vehicle includes a housing and a camera disposed at the housing. The camera includes a lens barrel and an imager. The housing houses a primary circuit board having a processor for processing image data captured by the camera. A glare shield is disposed at the housing and below and forward of the lens of the camera. The glare shield, with the vehicular camera module disposed at the in-cabin side of the windshield, reduces stray light incident at the lens of the camera. The glare shield includes a heat dissipating feature at a lower surface of the glare shield opposite an upper surface that faces the vehicle windshield when the vehicular camera module is disposed at the in-cabin side of the windshield.

    Abstract: A vehicular ground illumination light module includes at least one light emitting diode and a freeform optic disposed in front of the emitting diode. The vehicular ground illumination light module, when disposed at a side of a vehicle, and when the light emitting diode is electrically powered so as to emit light through the freeform optic, illuminates a ground region at that side of the vehicle. The illuminated ground region includes an illuminated side ground region at least partially along the side of the vehicle and an illuminated rearward ground region rearward of a rearmost portion of the vehicle. The illuminated ground region is at least in part within the fields of view of a sideward-viewing side camera and a rearward-viewing rear backup camera disposed at the vehicle. A portion of the illuminated side ground region is illuminated with a luminance of at least 10 lux.

    Abstract: A lighted exterior rearview mirror system for a vehicle includes a lighted exterior rearview mirror assembly and a turn signal light module disposed thereat. The light module includes at least three illumination sources that, with the lighted exterior rearview mirror assembly attached at the side of the vehicle, are arranged horizontally at the lighted exterior rearview mirror assembly. The at least three illumination sources are operable to emit light in a forward direction with respect to the vehicle. Responsive to activation by the driver of the turn signal indicator system of the vehicle, the illumination sources are sequentially powered in an outward direction to provide an appearance of an outward moving light, and light emanates from the turn signal light module at an outboard portion of the mirror casing so as to be viewable to a driver of another vehicle sideward and rearward of the equipped vehicle.

    Abstract: A window assembly for a vehicle includes a glass window panel having a non-light-transmitting layer established at a perimeter region thereof, and a sensing device disposed at the glass window panel at and behind the non-light-transmitting layer.     Abstract: A vehicle directional heading system suitable for use in a vehicle includes a forward viewing camera viewing through a heatable localized region of the windshield, which includes a heating element disposed thereat. A compass system includes a compass sensor and associated compass circuitry that, responsive to an output of the compass sensor indicative of sensed magnetic fields, is operable to determine a directional heading of the vehicle. When the heatable localized region is heated by an electrically resistive material of the heating element passing an applied electric current when the heating element is electrically powered, a magnetic signature is generated. The compass sensor of the compass system senses said magnetic signature, and the compass circuitry determines a vehicle directional heading of the vehicle that is compensated for the magnetic signature.

    Abstract: A glass roof assembly for a vehicle includes a frame portion and a glass roof panel disposed at and at least partially circumscribed by the frame portion. When the glass roof assembly is installed at a vehicle, a forward region of the glass roof panel is at a headliner of the vehicle and above a windshield of the vehicle. The glass roof assembly includes a lighting device having at least one interior light source and a user input for actuating the light. The lighting device is attached as a unit at an in-cabin surface of the glass roof panel at the forward region of the glass roof panel. The lighting device is electrically connected to a power source of the vehicle via electrical connection at the headliner of the vehicle when the glass roof assembly is installed at the vehicle.
