Abstract:
An outdoor enclosure for housing power distribution equipment is disclosed herein. The outdoor enclosure includes improved means for evacuating arc flash gases from inside the enclosure to the atmosphere, comprising an expansion chamber and improved chimney. The chimney includes a chimney base and chimney capping structure arrangement designed to allow for the safe ventilation of arc fault gases to the atmosphere, while maintaining weather-proof characteristics.
Abstract:
A terminal bushing sealing element is adapted to be fitted between a terminal bushing and a barrier element. The sealing element is elastic, has an annular shape, and includes a wall with an inner surface and an outer surface. A first opening is provided at a first end of the sealing element and a second opening is provided at a second end of the sealing element, which is opposite to the first end and the wall extends between the first end and the second end. The wall includes a first wall portion that is inclined such that a diameter of the sealing element increases from the first end in the direction towards the second end. The sealing element provides for improved sound attenuation while maintaining a long creepage distance and may be used in sound attenuation casings that are included in power capacitor arrangements.
Abstract:
A tool for extracting armour wires from a cable having an armouring layer includes a curved beak for grasping an armour wire, and an elongated body having a bottom surface provided with a protruding tip for separating two neighboring armour wires. The tip is protrudes away from the bottom surface and is elongated in a direction parallel to the bottom surface.
Abstract:
A method for automatically landing a container on a landing target using a container crane is disclosed. The container crane includes a trolley and spreader for holding and lifting the container and a crane control system for controlling movements of the container crane. A distance from the container to the landing target is measured and the container is moved towards the landing target dependent on the measured distance. A plurality of images of the landing target is made using at least one camera mounted on the spreader. The images are processed to identify one or more landing features in the images of the landing target. Distances from the container to the landing target are calculated based on a measurement of distance between the container and the landing features in the images. A video control unit, a system for controlling automatic landings of a container, a computer readable data carrier comprising a computer program and a computer program product arranged for carrying out the methods are also described.
Abstract:
A control system for an electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) is provided, the control system comprises: a central controller configured to receive an ancillary service order from a power grid and distribute the ancillary service order to one or more local controllers periodically; and the one or more local controllers configured to control a plurality of electric vehicle supply devices based on the distributed ancillary service order in real time. The method controlling the electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) is also provided.
Abstract:
A high voltage electrode arrangement includes a dome-shaped top portion, a toroid-shaped bottom portion, and an intermediate portion for connecting the top portion and the bottom portion. The intermediate portion includes a lead-trough for receiving high voltage equipment to be interconnected.
Abstract:
A converter arrangement and a method of controlling a three-phase converter arrangement connected to a transmission grid are provided. The converter arrangement includes three phase legs and an energy transfer circuit. The method includes providing a varying respective output phase voltage to the transmission grid by selecting energy storage elements of both the phase legs and the energy transfer circuit and connecting the selected energy storage elements to the transmission grid output. The method further includes selecting energy storage elements for performing a transfer of energy between the energy storage elements during the control period.
Abstract:
A standalone automation device (100) comprises: a removable memory port (101), configured to transmit data between the device (100) and the equipment (200) which also has a removable memory port; a removable memory control unit (102), comprising a signal convertor (112) for converting a removable memory interface to a serial interface; a power supply unit (103), configured to provide power supply when the device (100) is connected to the equipment (200) and disconnected to the field, and an isolation unit (104), configured to isolate the power supply. Compared with the existing prior arts, the proposed solution is convenient for connecting with the computer or cellphone, especially with isolation solution for power supply.
Abstract:
A method for multicore processor fault detection during execution of safety critical software applications in a multicore processor environment involves dedicating the complete resources of at least a part of at least one processor core to execution of diagnostics software application whilst dedicating remaining resources to execution of a safety-critical software application, thereby enabling parallel execution of the diagnostics software application and the safety-critical software application. There is also provided a controller for multicore processor fault detection during execution of safety critical software applications in a multicore processor environment. The controller includes a multicore processor environment. The controller may be part of a control system. The method may be provided as a computer program.
