Abstract:
A scanning type image display apparatus is disclosed which is capable of forming an exit pupil with a shape and a size which facilitate observation. The apparatus includes a scanning unit, a first optical system introducing a light flux to the scanning unit, a second optical system converging the light flux from the scanning unit, a diffractive optical element receiving the converged light flux, and an ocular optical system. Two directions in diametral directions of the light flux are first and second directions. The optical element increases the divergent angles of an emerging light flux therefrom in the first and second directions as compared with the convergent angles of an incident light flux thereinto in the two directions and increases the divergent angle of the emerging light flux in the first direction as compared with the divergent angle thereof in the second direction.

A volume of the heat transfer path increases according to the increase of the interval.
Abstract:
An optical wavelength multiplexing system includes transmission-side and reception-side optical wavelength multiplexers, and terminal devices, which are connected to each other by optical fiber cables. Optical wavelength converters in the transmission-side optical wavelength multiplexers are connected to ports respectively. The optical wavelength converter converts an input optical signal into an arbitrary preset wavelength to generate a converted optical signal. The port has a predetermined wavelength preset therein. Each optical power level of input converted optical signals is compared with each optical power level of optical signals of respective wavelengths set in the ports. When a difference is detected in the comparison result, it is determined that an optical wavelength converter is incorrectly connected to the port.

[Task] The invention enables uniformly etching a surface of a sample with an improved repeatability, and etching at a low cost without requiring any large-scale equipment.[Means for Solving the Problem] In an electron spectroscopy analytical apparatus (1) for executing an analysis of a composition, a chemical state and the like of a surface of a sample (4) or in a depth direction thereof by irradiating an X-ray to the sample (4) from a high-energy particle irradiating unit (6) within a vacuum chamber (2) under a vacuum atmosphere, and detecting a kinetic energy of electrons emitted from the sample (4) by an electric energy analyzer (7) on the basis of a photoelectric effect, the surface of the sample (4) is ion-etched by irradiating a fullerene ion beam to the surface of the sample (4) from an ion gun (8) before irradiating the high-energy particle to the sample (4).
Abstract:
In a playback signal processing device for extracting, from an analog playback signal, playback data and a clock synchronized with the playback data, a digital equalizer 2 is disposed outside a clock extraction loop formed by an interpolator 3, a timing recovery circuit 4, and a control circuit 5. The digital equalizer 2 is provided between an AID converter 1 and the interpolator 3 and performs equalization processing on digital playback data from the A/D converter 1 in accordance with the timing of a fixed clock CLK from a synthesizer 7. The coefficients of the digital equalizer 2 are updated by the control circuit 5 by using a coefficient setting device 6 according to frequency ratio information 4a from the timing recovery circuit 4. Accordingly, the clock extraction capability is enhanced in spite of the equalization processing on the playback signal by the digital equalizer.
Abstract:
In a demodulator for demodulating a BPSK modulated signal, demodulation performance degradation caused by analog circuits such as fabrication variation is suppressed, and furthermore, frequency variation in the BPSK modulated signal is followed by the demodulator. A multiplication circuit 105 multiplies a carrier, generated from a BPSK modulated signal by a carrier information extraction circuit 101 and a carrier generation circuit 102, by a digital BPSK modulated signal obtained by digitizing the BPSK modulated signal by an A/D converter 104 via a LPF 103. A carrier period integration circuit 106 integrates the multiplication result with respect to the period of the carrier, and the integration result is then binarized in a discriminator 107, thereby realizing demodulation.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an equalizer capable of accurately compensating for non-linearity of an input signal due to the asymmetry phenomenon, etc., during the disk production process. Two tap coefficients are provided in a coefficient unit. A comparator compares the value of a middle tap signal, which is a reference signal, and a threshold, so as to produce a selection signal based on the comparison result. The coefficient unit selects one of the two tap coefficients as the selected tap coefficient based on the selection signal, and a tap signal is multiplied with the selected tap coefficient. Thus, it is possible to adaptively switch the tap coefficients of the equalizer as a whole based on the value of the middle tap signal, which is the reference signal. Therefore, it is possible to accurately compensate for the non-linearity of the input signal.
