Abstract:
An organic light emitting diode display device is disclosed. The device includes a brightness controller configured to selectively control a brightness controlling range based at least in part on the magnitude of the video data input in one frame, and a gamma correcting unit configured to control the portion of maximum luminance corresponding to full scale data based on one of first gamma correcting values and second gamma correcting values.
Abstract:
A user interface method and a mobile terminal is disclosed. If a finger touches and moves in a specific direction on a keypad having a touch sensor, a touch is detected by the touch sensor and a type of touch direction is identified by a control unit according to the angle of a touch direction. A screen of a display unit is partitioned into a plurality of blocks, and a screen highlight is located at a specific block. The control unit for moving the screen highlight on the display unit according to the type of the touch direction. A path of the screen highlight is set in one of a forward direction with continuous movement, a forward direction with discontinuous movement, a backward direction with continuous movement, and a backward direction with discontinuous movement. A user interface according to the present invention can include a pointer in the display unit, the pointer being controlled by linking a pointer position with a touch position.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a apparatus and a method for displaying various character effects on a character input screen of a mobile station using a differentiated graphic element according to a key input signal. In the method a visual character theme set by a user is displayed in a character input mode, and a character input effect corresponding to the visual character theme is shown according to a key input signal. Accordingly, since the mobile station can show a visual character input effect in every key input sequence by allowing the user to select a desired visual character theme in advance, an entertaining effect is added to a user interface of the mobile station.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device and a method of manufacturing the semiconductor device may include a layered structure and a plug. The layered structure may have a lower insulation layer pattern, a single crystalline silicon pattern, and an upper insulation layer pattern provided on a substrate. A contact hole may be provided in the layered structure. The contact hole may expose the single crystalline silicon pattern and the substrate. The plug may include silicon germanium. The plug may be provided in the contact hole and may be electrically connected to the substrate and the single crystalline silicon pattern.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for transmitting image data in real-time between mobile communication terminals in a mobile communication system, the mobile communication system including a host mobile communication terminal, at least one client mobile communication terminal, an SMS server, and a PDSN assigning IP addresses. The method includes when an IP address is received from the PDSN, transmitting by the host mobile communication terminal an invite message to the client mobile communication terminal via the SMS server; receiving by the client mobile communication terminal an IP address from the PDSN, and transmitting a register message to the host mobile communication terminal via the PDSN; updating by the host mobile communication terminal a buddy list, and transmitting the updated buddy list to the client mobile communication terminal via the PDSN; and exchanging by the host and the client mobile communication terminals the image data in real-time based on the updated buddy list.
Abstract:
A method of fabricating a static random access memory device includes selectively removing an insulating film and growing a single crystalline silicon layer using selective epitaxy growth, the single crystalline silicon layer being grown in a portion from which the insulating film is removed; recessing the insulating film; and depositing an amorphous silicon layer on the single crystalline silicon layer and the insulating film, such that the amorphous silicon layer partially surrounds a top surface and side surfaces of the single crystalline silicon layer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to probiotic microorganisms producing chimeric human growth hormone for oral use and methods for preparing them. The invention provides probiotic Lactobacillus or yeast transformant expressing chimeric protein which is human growth hormone fused with Fc fragment of human IgG, in which the transformants are safely delivered into intestine though oral route. Also, the invention provides a chimeric protein-expressing vector which can induce transcytosis in intestine epithelial cells. Accordingly, the invention demonstrates that the chimeric protein for oral delivery system can be absorbed in intestine, and delivery of the chimeric protein by oral route using Lactobacillus has very excellent efficiency in vivo test in rats. Accordingly, the Lactobacillus of the present invention is an excellent deliverer of protein drugs.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel class of 4,5-diaryl-3(2H)-furanone derivatives, which inhibit strongly and selectively COX-2 over COX-1. They are useful to treat inflammation, inflammation-associated disorders, and COX-2 mediated diseases.
Abstract:
A refrigerator having an apparatus for preventing an air from flowing into the refrigerator. The refrigerator has a refrigerator body, a compartment for separating the refrigerator body into freezing and refrigerating chambers and having a plurality of draining holes at a front end portion of an upper surface thereof and having a first plurality of holes at a front end portion of a lower surface thereof for flowing a cooled air in the freezing chamber into the refrigerating chamber, an apparatus for allowing the cooled air in the freezing chamber to flow into the refrigerating chamber by opening the first plurality of holes while a door of the refrigerating chamber is being opened thereby forming an air curtain and for removing the air curtain by closing the first plurality of holes while the door of the refrigerating chamber is being closed, a blower arranged at a rear portion of the freezing chamber for blowing the cooled air so as to circulate the cooled air in the freezing chamber into the refrigerating chamber, and a switch for transmitting an electric power to the blower thereby operating the blower while the door of the refrigerating chamber is being opened, and for closing the electric power transmitted to the blower thereby stopping the operation of the blower while the door of the refrigerating chamber is being closed. The apparatus for preventing the air from flowing into the refrigerator effectively prevents the air from flowing into the refrigerator by a simple structure.
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for process accelerator (PA) using configurable hardware accelerators is provided. The PA can include a plurality of processing elements (PEs). The PEs of the PA can be used to accelerate a process and/or one or more threads. PEs can include PE local memory which due to the memories' close physical proximity to the PE can result in reduced energy consumption. The plurality of PEs can be daisy-chain connected or DMA mode can be used to write the result of a PE directly into the PE local memory of another PE for further processing.
