The disclosed image sensor includes a pixel array including a plurality of unit pixels arranged in a matrix form having rows and columns, a binning sampling unit configured to output a binning sampling signal according to an average of signals from two or more unit pixels selected from among the unit pixels of each of the columns, and an analog-to-digital converter configured to convert the binning sampling signal to a digital signal. The selected unit pixels have different exposure times.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a display device and a manufacturing method thereof, which do not use some of cases and set covers necessary for producing the display device and thus can minimize a thickness and enhance a sense of beauty with an innovative design. The display device includes a display panel, a guide frame, an adhesive member, a set cover, and a soft member. The set cover receives the guide frame, and surrounds a side of the display panel. The soft member is formed at the set cover, and closely contacted to the side of the display panel.
Abstract:
An image sensor includes a pixel unit configured to output a bayer pattern by converting an optical signal of a subject into an electrical signal; and a vertical interpolation unit configured to generate a vertical binning image by adding or averaging values of vertical pixels of the bayer pattern based on weight information set for each row region of the bayer pattern. Further, the image sensor includes a horizontal interpolation unit configured to generate a horizontal binning image by adding or averaging values of horizontal pixels of the bayer pattern based on weight information set for each column region of the bayer pattern; and an image composition unit configured to generate a weight-based binning image by composing the vertical and horizontal binning images.
Abstract:
A computer system having a plurality of devices including a data storage part which includes a plurality of cells to store data, and a controller to inspect whether there is a defective cell in the data storage part if a condition to execute a cell inspection function is met, and sets the defective cell to be assigned to one of the devices if a defective cell is found.
Abstract:
In a non-volatile memory system, a plurality of main memory cells for storing data is arranged in a data cell array and a plurality of reference memory cells is arranged in a reference cell array. The reference cell array includes first reference word lines connected to first reference memory cells and extending, second reference word lines connected to second reference memory cells and extending alternately with the first reference word lines, reference bit lines to which the first and the second reference memory cells are alternately connected in a line and a combined cell having a pair of the first and second reference memory cells and generating a reference signal for processing the data. The first and the second reference memory cells have different cell characteristics. The stability of the reference signal is improved irrespective of the differentiation of the first and the second reference memory cells.

Abstract:
An image sensor capable of canceling crosstalk without reduction of a signal to noise ratio (SNR) to improve a sensitivity includes a plurality of light detection units and a filter array including a plurality of filters, with each of the plurality of filters being deposited on a corresponding one of the light detection units. The filter array includes a green filter used to transmit a green component of an incident light, a yellow filter used to transmit a yellow component of the incident light, and a cyan filter used to transmit a cyan component of the incident light.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and to an apparatus for generating a surrounding image. The method for generating a surrounding image according to the present invention comprises the steps of: taking, as an input, images captured by cameras installed in the front and the rear of a vehicle and in the left and right sides of the vehicle, via respective channels connected to the cameras; correcting the captured images into a top view form to generate a plurality of corrected images; performing an overlaying process on the plurality of corrected images using a mask image containing region information on each channel and weight information for pixels constituting each region to generate a surrounding image of the vehicle; and displaying the thus-generated surrounding image. The present invention removes blind spots around the vehicle, and corrects the overlapped images captured by a plurality of cameras into natural images, thus enabling drivers to accurately recognize the surrounding situation of the vehicle. Therefore, a driver may park a vehicle in a convenient manner, and drive the vehicle in a forward or a backward direction in a safe manner even without looking at a side-view mirror or a rearview mirror.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for calculating source image coordinates. In an embodiment, a variation rate of the source image coordinate with respect to a converted image coordinate is calculated by a recursive computation, and variation rates are accumulated to obtain the source image coordinate. Because the converted image coordinate sequentially increases one-by-one, the variation rate may be obtained by using adding operations of previously obtained source image coordinate, rather than multiplying operations with the all of the converted image coordinates. Therefore, the source image coordinates may simply and effectively be calculated.
Abstract:
The present invention is an interpolation device and method. According to the present invention, a plurality of pixels close to a pixel to be interpolated are sequentially set to a central pixel. When a pixel difference closest to a threshold value among pixel differences between the central pixel and a plurality of pixels around the central pixel belongs to a quasi-edge decision range, an edge interpolation and a bilinear interpolation are mixed to interpolate the pixel to be interpolated. As a result, it is possible to prevent reduction in image quality due to an edge verdict caused by unstable input image signal and perform a stable interpolation operation.
