Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel therapeutic and diagnostic dendrimers. In particular, the present invention is directed to dendrimer-linker conjugates, methods of synthesizing the same, compositions comprising the conjugates, as well as systems and methods utilizing the conjugates (e.g., in diagnostic and/or therapeutic settings (e.g., for the delivery of therapeutics, imaging, and/or targeting agents (e.g., in disease (e.g., cancer) diagnosis and/or therapy, pain therapy, etc.)). Accordingly, dendrimer-linker conjugates of the present invention may further comprise one or more components for targeting, imaging, sensing, and/or providing a therapeutic or diagnostic material and/or monitoring response to therapy.
Abstract:
A method for making a pharmaceutical by emulsion aggregation, the method including emulsifying a first pharmaceutical agent and a biodegradable resin to form a primary emulsion of pre-aggregated particles in a slurry; aggregating the pre-aggregated particles to form aggregated pharmaceutical particles in the slurry; and isolating the pharmaceutical particles. The method may be used to make time-released, multi-formulation, and inhalable pharmaceuticals.
Abstract:
A process for making particles is provided. In embodiments, a suitable process includes adding a rheology modifier to an emulsion utilized to form toner particles. The rheology modifier permits the use of a higher solid content in the emulsion, with a resulting higher yield of toner particles, without requiring the use of powerful mixing equipment.
Abstract:
This invention provides a body fluid detection method by using surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy. In this method, some biological macromolecules in body fluid samples could be separated with membrane electrophoresis technique firstly. Next, samples are cut off along with the substrates and touched with glacial acetic acid. Transparent colloid formed while incubating. Then add enhancing substrates and continue to incubate and stir. When solid impurities precipitated, stop incubating and stand for layering. In the end, take upper layer resulted to be tested using SERS detection method and build SERS database. This invention successfully eliminated disturbance of other complex components on the SERS detection of protein, DNA and RNA. High quality SERS spectrum obtained is beneficial to the analysis and process of SERS spectrum. Thus body fluid can be differentiated by comparing body fluid SERS spectrum belonging to the healthy people and patients.
Abstract:
A flash memory controller having a flash memory testing functions is provided, in which the flash memory controller includes a microprocessor unit, a flash memory interface unit, a host interface unit and a memory cell testing unit. The flash memory interface unit is configured for connecting a plurality of flash memory chips, where each flash memory chip has a plurality of flash memory dies and each flash memory die has a plurality of physical blocks. The host interface unit is configured for connecting a host system. The memory cell testing unit is configured for determining whether the physical blocks can be normally written, read and erased. Accordingly, the flash memory controller can perform a flash memory testing under a command of the host system and all the physical blocks of the flash memory chip can be tested during the flash memory testing.
Abstract:
A manufacturing apparatus for a backlight unit includes a feed mechanism, a testing mechanism, and an attachment mechanism. The feed mechanism arranges a plurality of light-emitting diodes in a row. The testing mechanism tests the light-emitting diodes. The attachment mechanism positions the light-emitting diodes to a circuit board. The attachment mechanism comprises a support assembly and a laminating device, in which the support assembly receives the light-emitting diodes tested by the at least one testing unit, the support assembly is opposite to the circuit board, and the laminating device laminates the light-emitting diodes to the circuit board. A method for manufacturing the backlight unit is also provided.
Abstract:
A method and a camera device that includes a proximity sensor that senses a current distance between a user and the camera device. The method and camera device acquires the current distance sensed by the proximity sensor, and triggers the camera device to take a photo of an object when the current distance is less than a preset distance of the camera device.

A blood pressure monitor and a method for calculating blood pressure thereof are revealed. The blood pressure monitor includes a cuff, an air pump, an air escape valve, a pressure sensor, a processing circuit, and an arithmetic circuit. The cuff is arranged a a body to be detected while and the air pump inflates the cuff and the air escape valve is for releasing air from the cuff. The pressure sensor is disposed on the cuff for detecting cuff pressure to generate analog pressures sensing signals. The processing circuit processes the analog pressure sensing signals and generates digital pressure sensing signals. A slope of each digital pressure sensing signal is calculated by the arithmetic circuit. A pressure value of the digital pressure sensing signal corresponding to a maximum slope is an average blood pressure. Then find a second derivative of each digital pressure sensing signal. A pressure value of the digital pressure sensing signal corresponding to a largest maximum value of the second derivative is systolic pressure while a pressure value of the digital pressure sensing signal corresponding to a smallest minimum value of the second derivative is diastolic pressure.
Abstract:
A blood pressure monitor that detects vascular sclerosis is revealed. The blood pressure monitor includes a cuff, an air pump, an air escape valve, a pressure sensor, a processing circuit, a first conversion circuit, and an arithmetic circuit. The cuff is arranged at a user's hand and is pumped up and inflated by the air pump while the air escape valve is used to release air from the cuff. The pressure sensor is disposed on the cuff to detect a pressure of the cuff and generate a pressure sensing signal. The processing circuit processes the pressure sensing signal and generates a processed signal that is converted by the first conversion circuit, According to the converted processed signal, the arithmetic circuit calculates a systolic pressure, a diastolic pressure of a user and obtains a vasodilation constant so as to check vascular sclerosis of the user.
