The thread extends along the central longitudinal axis of the body. The body includes a recess configured to receive a suction cover of the reciprocating pump therein. The recess is tapered inwardly along the central longitudinal axis of the body.

Abstract: The valve member includes a valve body and a seal. The valve body defines a first frusto-conical surface and an outside annular cavity. The seal extends within the outside annular cavity and includes a first tapered and circumferentially-extending surface adapted to sealingly engage the tapered surface of the valve seat. In another aspect, the seal includes an annular bulbous protrusion from which the first tapered and circumferentially-extending surface angularly extends, the first tapered and circumferentially-extending surface extending between the annular bulbous protrusion and the first frusto-conical surface of the valve body. In another aspect, an offset distance is defined between the first frusto-conical surface of the valve body and at least a portion of the first tapered and circumferentially-extending surface of the seal, the offset distance extending in a direction that is perpendicular to at least the first frusto-conical surface of the valve body.

Abstract: A valve assembly adapted for use in oil and gas operations. In one aspect, the valve assembly includes a valve body defining an internal region, an inlet passageway, and an outlet passageway, the inlet and outlet passageways extending into the internal region; a valve seat connected to the valve body and defining a fluid passageway; a clapper extending within the internal region and defining an annular groove; and a seal extending within the annular groove of the clapper and adapted to sealingly engage the valve seat. In an example embodiment, the clapper is actuable between an open configuration, in which fluid flow is permitted through the fluid passageway; and a closed configuration, in which the seal sealingly engages the valve seat to at least partially restrict fluid flow through the fluid passageway.

Abstract: According to one aspect, an apparatus adapted to be connected to a component that is part of a pump system or a manifold trailer includes a block defining opposing first and second exterior surfaces. In one aspect, the block includes a recess formed in the first exterior surface and extending towards the second exterior surface, and an opening formed in the second exterior surface. In another aspect, the apparatus also includes an electronic identifying device at least partially accommodated within the recess, the device including a first portion having data stored thereon that provides identification of the component. In one aspect, the electronic identifying device further includes a second portion having data stored thereon that provides one of: information associated with certification of the component; and identification of the pump system or the manifold trailer of which the component is a part.

Embodiments identify a selected well equipment device, a device test specification, and testing sequences to be performed by a corresponding testing apparatus. Embodiments generate testing data for the selected testing sequence and link the testing data for the selected testing sequence to the device identifier for the device so that a certificate can be generated. Embodiments generate a certificate for the selected device responsive to the testing sequences having been performed upon the selected device and link the certificate for the selected device to the device identifier so that the certificate can be readily recalled.
