摘要： A fluid end is formed from a first body attached to a separate second body. Each body includes an external surface. When the bodies are attached, their respective external surfaces are in flush engagement. A plurality of bores are formed in the second body that are alignable with a plurality of corresponding bores formed in the first body. The fluid end may be used with seals disposed within recesses within each bore to seal against corresponding sealing surfaces. Further, retaining closures may be bolted to the fluid end bodies, such that the closures have a threadless connection to the fluid end bodies. Various combinations of such components may be utilized.

摘要： A pump in desalination systems has four cylinders, each having a double acting piston. Each cylinder and piston defines a feed chamber and a recovery chamber. The pistons connect to a common drive. The connection to the common drive is such that the pistons reciprocate in a sequence equally spaced in time. Reciprocating valving for each piston is driven by the common drive to be 90 degrees out of phase with the respective piston. The valving connects the recovery chamber alternately to an inlet manifold for an intake stroke of the piston relative to the recovery chamber, and to an outlet manifold for a discharge stroke of the piston relative to the recovery chamber. A brief period of closure coincides with top dead centre and bottom dead centre of the piston, during which the recovery chamber is blocked off from both the inlet and outlet manifolds. The reciprocating valving is midway between its top dead centre and bottom dead centre during the period of closure.

The demountable blocks are removable radially to facilitate maintenance and repair and to facilitate radial access to the inward ring.

摘要： A hydraulic machine includes oscillating radial cylinders close to an external shell of a crown or star of cylinder-piston groups. The pistons of the groups are made sliding on a crank shaft with throw or on interposed concentric elements, which create an alternative movement in the oscillating radial cylinders. The oscillating cylinders are placed in contact with a spherical oscillation surface made on a body or shell of the hydraulic machine. A passage of the hydraulic liquid to and from the oscillating radial cylinder, to create feeding and discharge of the cylinder, is formed through at least a flat lateral external surface on the side of the oscillating cylinder, parallel to an oscillation plane of the cylinders, to and from a feeding channel on a lateral body or cover of the hydraulic machine. A seal ring, fitted at least with a contact surface that is resistant to abrasion on the wall of the lateral flat sliding surface, is interposed between the flat lateral surface in contact for passage of the liquid under pressure, and a thrust member is formed on the oscillating cylinders against the spherical oscillation surface outside of the cylinders themselves.

摘要： A high volume high pressure common rail pump for a fuel system includes pairs of pump head assemblies in phase with each other but oriented in opposition to one another about a rotating cam shaft. Pump pistons in the pump head assemblies simultaneously undergo pumping strokes via a shared two lobe cam of the rotating cam shaft. The pump may include two pairs of pump head assemblies, and each head assembly may include two pump pistons. The cam shaft includes two cams sufficiently out of phase with one another that the cam shaft always has a positive torque even when the cam lobes are symmetrical. In addition, because the pumping is done simultaneously on opposite sides of the cam shaft, the forces on the cam shaft are balanced and its support bearings experience less wear and tear.

In another aspect, a brake pump assembly with a hydraulic block, a straight bore polymer piston, a peripheral sealing lip projecting from a proximal portion of the polymer piston, and a elastomeric seal mounted to a distal portion of the polymer piston, where the peripheral sealing lip selectively acts to depressurize fluid accumulating between the peripheral sealing lip and elastomeric seal.
