A liquid crystal display includes a source driver, a gate driver, a plurality of pixel units, a plurality of detecting circuits, and a decision unit. Each pixel unit includes a switch transistor and a liquid crystal capacitor. When turned on by a scan signal generated by the gate driver, the switch transistor conducts a data signal voltage generated by the source driver to the liquid crystal capacitor, to adjust alignment of liquid crystal molecules. Each detecting circuit is electrically connected to one pixel unit, and includes a first transistor, a second transistor, a third transistor and a sensor unit. The first transistor conducts a constant voltage to the sensor unit when turned on, and generates a dynamic voltage when turned off. Based on the dynamic voltage, the second transistor generates a dynamic current. The third transistor conducts the dynamic current to the decision unit when turned on. The decision unit determines the position of one detecting circuit by comparing the dynamic currents output by the plurality of detecting circuits.

The phase-compensating domain regulating protrusions are formed on at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate. The phase-compensating domain regulating protrusions have a plurality of anisotropic birefringence molecules. The slow-axes of the anisotropic birefringence molecules are in a different direction from the slow-axes of the liquid crystal molecules near the phase-compensating protrusions. Therefore, the plurality of anisotropic birefringence molecules can compensate for the phase retardation here, thereby improving the light leakage in the dark state.

The active element array structure comprises a base plate and a plurality of gate lines, data lines, active devices, storage capacitors and pixel electrodes thereon. Each storage capacitor has an upper electrode and the upper electrode has at least an aperture. The direction of electric field crossing over the aperture forms an included angle with the alignment direction of an optically self-compensated birefringence liquid crystal layer. When an electric field is applied to the optically self-compensated birefringence liquid crystal layer, the liquid crystal molecules close to the aperture twist and rapidly transit from a splay state to a bend state. Thereafter, elastic force between the liquid crystal molecules spread the transition to the entire liquid crystal layer so that an optically self-compensated birefringence liquid crystal display is warmed up rapidly.

The present invention relates to novel, three component, mixtures comprising red reactive dyes which in the free acid forms are represented by the formula (I), (II) and (II'),a) a red reactive dye of formula (I) ##STR1## where the variables are as described in the claims. The mixtures are suitable for dyeing and printing cellulose containing fibre materials and produce dyeings and prints which exhibit good build up and fastness properties.
